Good move down the left by Sema and Pedro sees Koné blast the ball well over the bar

All gone a bit quiet - too much sideways passing at the back.

Pedro surrounded by five defenders but gets his shot away - straight at the keeper.

HT - 1-0. Slow, slow game - looks like we're not really interested in winning.

I must have misunderstood one of Andrew French's articles in the Watford Observer. I thought that he wrote that Chris Wilder had told him:

“Adrian Blake is going to be involved with us tomorrow though, which is good.

“I think getting the young lads more involved is the right idea and the right time now."

Adrian Blake was involved in the warm up, but he is not even on the bench. I am not surprised that Watford are struggling to score. The team selection shows just why Wilder will not be here next season. Sadly, I expected the team to lose as soon as I saw the line-up.

João Pedro is not a natural 'number nine'. How does Kabasele get selected ahead of Cathcart? I know that Cathcart has not played well in recent games, but I am assuming that the reason is because Wilder has never watched Kabasele play in a competitive match.

Does that mean João Pedro will drop back into midfield or as a 'number 10' behind Davis? If so, the change supports my previous comment. I was also surprised that Bacuna started the game, although I did read that Choudhury is ill.

Poor refereeing - handball in the box by Hull but no penalty

Looks like it. Davis up front, but hasn't done much yet

Just heard the groan from here - Brechin scored to lead 1-0 and move to top of the table.

Its better, but not the best - probably the better side & should have at least drawn after being denied a stonewall penalty.
    Such is life...:(

I must have lived through more disappointing seasons than successful ones, and even when there was nothing left to play for, my interest never died. Losing 3-0 at home with ten minutes left, I wouldn't head out of the ground, but stay to the bitter end in the hope that there might be a spark that would give hope for the future.
Today I actually forgot to look for the team news. My interest has taken a severe beating this season, yet at the beginning everyone thought we were amongst the favourites for promotion. The same could be said about Chateauroux who looked like promotion contenders, but have fallen short. Despite their shortcomings, I still enjoy watching them because they are showing a team spirit, and although they do not have the same technical ability of Championship players, they are clearly trying their hardest.
I am sure that some of the Watford players do try, but they seem to lose heart when others in the team make far too many mistakes. Tonight I feel more like a Wrexham supporter, who has suffered for a long time, but can only hope that the better days will return.

This game summed up our season on two fronts

We are not a team we are a squad with three or four luxury players but there is no cohesion or playing for the shirt

Andrews slips and the Hull player trips over him, the ref cannot award the penalty quick enough, Pedro is hauled down by two defenders ref says play on, definite handball in Hull penalty area ref waves play on, Wilder in his after match interview says the Hull coaching teams reactions convinced him that we should have had at least one penalty

If we dont shoot ourselves in the foot the officials will do it for us, how have we become the club no one seems to want to do well, apart from us of course
