I reserve the right to get excited/hopeful if results go our way this weekend and we win on Thursday.

 

Lots of the others play twice now before we play again.
We’ll either be right in it or right out of it by kick off

 

Even though I still truly believe we will be relegated, I will be monitoring these fixtures with interest today.

Fulham v Leeds
Palace v Everton
Leicester v Wolves
Liverpool v Forest

Leicester will win. The others will lose. That's my verdict.

 

I think they will all start off as a draw. They wont finish that way.

It’s the hope that kills.

I can’t believe we STILL aren’t out of sight yet. Today could be the day

 

However that point means we wont be worse off.

Our GD is **** so we were 4 point adrift so really 5, that is effectively 2 wins. We are now 3 points adrift, the max will be 6…two wins (GD may help here as 2 wins for us and two losses for the others means a minimum GD swing of 4, probably 5 or 6)

Glass half full and I still think we are down, but I tell you what, we are irritating the hell out of those around us as they stil have to worry about us,

 

I'm not surprised that we're not out of sight. And that's largely because we know what it's like to be above the line. On multiple occasions in recent years, we've survived because there were three worse teams than us - not because we've saved ourselves.

It's a similar thing again this season (except for the fact that we are now one of the three teams). Whoever survives will probably do so because they weren't as bad as the bottom three. Fair play to Bmouth, they are an example of a team who is saving themselves. But I'm not sure that will apply to every team who survives.

At some point the gap above us probably will open up - quite possible today as it happens. But yeah, I'm not surprised that it hasn't happened yet.

 

I saw the BBC website headline for half time in the Fulham v Leeds game: 'Fulham level against struggling Leeds' and thought 'Oh, Fulham have equalised'. I checked and it's 0-0, so yes, Fulham are level, but not because they've scored, or anything...

 

Fulham deserve that

 

Poor by Meslier. Probably the second worst (regular) keeper in the PL, after Bazunu.

 

Leicester starting all three of Iheanacho, Daka and Vardy. Interesting.

 

But no Maddison.

 

Leeds are going to get something from this.

Edit: Glad to be wrong, although I’m not sure Leeds are within range.

 

FT Fulham beat Leeds 2-1.

 

Leeds can count themselves lucky that their GD didn't take another big hit. They should have lost that by at least three goals.
