As you mentioned you played in the old Western League wasn't Bridgwater Town in that league along with Andover Town at some point?

They will be coming down with a couple years PP's some of their current players will want to leave ... usual thing! .. so they might think £30m could be a good investment as has shown Championship quality and will hope to do a Burnley! so will have a "quality player already on board for the return! SO GOOD FOR JACKING UP THE PRICE!!!

Inver, are you asking me ?
During the time I played I think they played in the Southern League leaving/resigned that league in the 80's - money problems..
We played clubs Falmouth and Saltash away in one weekend . Minehead Bideford Manor Farm etc were others but can't remember playing Andover.

A move to Germany makes a lot of sense, especially Borussia Dortmund. He will be playing at a high level domestically and in the CL pretty much every season. BD are well known for giving young talent a chance e.g. Sancho and Bellingham, something most PL clubs do not do. The downside could be, they aren't likely to pay as much upfront as a PL club, but we could potentially negotiate a hefty sell-on clause.

... That's the gamble of going to a club in a higher league; you go from a 'star striker' to a fringe player.

It’s what Scott has to consider too, a lot of attention is on him because he’s playing every week, if he goes to the PL that may well change. Many of his England colleagues don’t get any games at all for their clubs, it’s why I believe his best interests would be served staying with us for another season, unless of course he manages to actually get game time in the PL .

these PL clubs have squads that are in treble figures of players from first on the sheet to last! Its not in Bournemouth's interest to start him till its all over as they dont want to splash the cash if they are going to survive .. not read the report just the headline

They are 6 points clear of relegation now so pretty safe, surely would be better to use Semenyo to get him up to speed ready for next season, £1.5m is loose change for a PL side.

dont forget their ground is smaller than the mem ...their local derby with Brighton had less than 11,000so gate money is poor AS plays in front a very small crowd at home ...

Gate money doesn’t really matter at PL level, most of cash is TV money.

so teams getting 20,000+ and raking in £15m plus a season aint that much better than a team getting 10,000 and a max of £7.5m?

Bearing in mind all the extra profit on secondaries .. like beer and food I would say AFC Bournemouth is quite a way behind most of the others there seasons wage is likely around £28m ..... [ 1/4 of gate money ]
SOUTHAMPTON ABOUT £60M on gates of 30,000 [ about a third of gate money ]
