It's falling in bits bud. Parts will be un- insurable soon. Its might not be a case of owners wanting to upgrade more of a case of needing to be made safe. Seen it happen to the southstand at Headingley. They had to shut parts of it down at the end making the capacity much less. They were forced to build a new one in the end as it was costing too much to not do it.
Yeah, the patchwork stuff soon starts adding up and impacts the whole business. The unseen cost is the insurance which quickly escalates in price as the safety aspect comes in to play. It's actually cheaper long term to get the new stands up as soon as we can afford. The PL money is intrinsic to that. Relegation would be a huge hammer blow moving forward over the next 5 years even if we bounced back at the first attempt.
Players are the drain on club finances and agents. Gate money is just a pittance compared to the sky rulers money. Toilets in football grounds are a disgrace. Feck the new stands it's only part of the story.
Both statements are correct mate but got mixed in translation. Yes he wanted limited squad size but also wanted to upgrade some of the squad but was told only had limited funds….
So you agree that we need the sky rulers money in order to reduce running costs of a dilapidated stadium so we can spend more on better players? So relegation would be bad?
So you think we should just give the TV money back to sky? I genuinely have no idea what you are getting at here as you are very contradictory.
Sky is nearly over hence Amazon and a bunch of other platforms pumping the price up. The next deal agreed will be Premier League Football TV. Its own broadcast network which will sell live streams worldwide. This will be be like F1 who sell to networks the finished article as own cameras etc. NFL etc all do it, more cash, more profits direct to the Prem…..
