There are so many people he could take off that aren't Alcaraz. That said, I see the logic. We deployed a completely bizarre lineup, and it worked. But Arsenal got themselves back into it as the half wore on, so we had to take it a step further and go with an even more bizarre lineup.
It’s not just going for a back five but taking off our best player when Ely and Adarma have been useless as usual
I did think that a change at halftime to give arsenal a different challenge wasn’t a bad idea but taking off the MoTM wasn’t what I had in mind
I'm guessing that Alcaraz's yellow played a role. It almost certainly shouldn't have played that large of a role, but I presume that'll be his reasoning.
Sorry but Selles has ****ed this so badly. Even if we hold the 2-1 by a margin, it’s such a needles decision when Arsenal were clearly able to be gotten at with the way it was. Such needles pessimistic managing. Like others have said, there’s other players to take off instead. Absoloitely no need to set up for 45 minutes of defending against this team that had so many holes in the first half.
