That's pretty much bang on <laugh>

    Not hard either is it.

His long ball distribution is **** though tbf so it'll probably be going out for the throw in.

The other thing is if you're going to replace De Gea, it has to be someone better than him otherwise what's the point? And I'm not convinced the next bloke won't crumble under the pressure.

Agree on those two, especially Sancho. I'd say see if he can sort himself out next season but if he can't he goes, and at a huge loss but to be absolutely honest, so what by then.

Garnacho is ahead of him, and Antony is looking good for one of the wide places. As would Rashford, as long as we sign two actual centre forwards. Pellistri decent back up for Antony and, as you've said, Amad to come back and I don't see Elanga as a lost cause yet.

Personally, I would go for Kane but also Ferguson from Brighton. The massive elepahant in the room is who is funding this, will the Glazers have actually gone?

We need to get rid of Maguire, de Gea, Lindelof, Dalot, AWB, McTominay, Martial as 'first team' players not good enough for that first team. Jones, Donny, Sabitzer, Weghorst and I'm sure one or two others can also leave quietly you'd hope.

How the **** do we get rid of all that? We can't really. I'd probably keep AWB and de Gea out of desperation and being unable to do such a massive clear out.

We also therefore need two CM's, another centre half and another right back, to go with those two strikers.

Jurien Timber is apparently back on the radar, and could play at both centre half and right back. Mac Allister one CM, de Jong/Rice/Bellingham/<laugh>Caicaido the other?!?!

FFS, where we getting the money from to fund this mad idea?

That's how I was going through it with the players. AWB and De Gea I agree we'll keep out of desperation (or bcos they're the least worst to get rid of) because we can't sell that many.

I don't see the Glazers going anywhere. So the decision to spend and how much dictates everything. Even IF we assume they get an investor or two in, where's that money going to go... on players? on ground/stadium improvements? They won't do both. Or will it go in their pockets? They are bleeding the club the ****s bcos without them we'd have the money in spades to rebuild under Ten Hag.

The only good option that I see is for the club is to sell to the Qataris. They are the only ones with deep enough pocket to overcome the heavy debt. Glazer staying will be disastrous as it will put the club on perilous path with interest rate staying where it is. We would literally be spending $100m on interest payments which is just awful to think about.

And ppl in hell want iced water.

Glazers aren't selling mate. This has all been a greedy yank self-serving exercise to line their own pockets. THAT is all.

The best we can hope for is they all die in a plane crash.

That sounds really cold. But you really have to wonder the nasty greed that made them put the club on sale when all along their real intention was not to sell because they want to keep using the club as a leverage that solely benefits them at the expense of everyone else and the City. It is distasteful! The League should be holding these fkin knts accountable.

    They're ****s.

Btw the Qatari's didn't actually approach United or the Raines group who were dealing with all this on Glazers' behalf. It was the Raines group who approached them to put an offer in like some stalking horse to drum up other offers.

It's all a fcking sham. They want money and like you say, the club is leverage.

So yeh, I know it sounds cold and I don't wish ill on anyone. But if the news came tomorrow they'd crashed in the Rocky's somewhere I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Slightly concerned that if Poch takes the Chelsea job, Kane will go there in the summer. Less upheaval for him and he and Poch got on really well.

If that were the case, then we'd maybe go for Osimenh, who they are also apparently after.

    They won't sign both.

Personally think that we should go for Kane and Ferguson, but there are other options out there.

Notably Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins.

I'm always wary of signing players who are eligible for the Africa Cup of Nations. The competition is always in January, a critical time in the domestic season, and injuries are always a risk due to the physical nature of the competition. So long as we have adequate cover for the month (and thereafter should we lose a player) then fine, but I'd rather go for Kane or a European based alternative.

If Kane wants to go to Chelsea in the summer, we should let them have him.

I’d rather Toney than any of the others. Kane will be too much money and he is nearing his latter years.

I was thinking you'd have a De Gea field day after that goal lol

Official records show his as making 4 bad mistakes this season leading to goals (joint highest). What they don't show is how many miraculous saves he has made in the same period.
Where's that Adrien fella you were touting as better than him these days?

Ah, a bit of whataboutism, and would that be league and World club champion Adrian?
as for saves, yeah, we see his 'miraculous' tv saves, don't show his **** distribution much though. Neve hear of how well he dominates his box or marshals his defence, because he does neither.
Always surprises me that a fanbase that watched Schmeichel and Van Der Sar in goal can rate De Gea, when even Barthez was vastly superior.

And Gary Bailey probably. He won us a cup final against Brighton.

Much like Maguire I don't think Ten Hag wants De Gea either.

We can do better but good goalies can be pot luck and sometimes it's safer with the devil you know, and he's saved us plenty of times.

    I also don't think it's a priority right now.

So where is Adrian now then?
He was obviously far too good to stay at your place, must have got a massive fee for him though so fair enough.

It's certainly back up the list though. I think he needs replacing for next season, he just doesn't play how ten Hag wants and this is the biggest sticking point now for me. The **** up's add to it of course.

The West Ham one could be the difference between fourth and fifth, it was that bad. That is seismic given our precarious situation financially and in player recruitment.
And yes, I get it, he's made plenty saves that have bought us points, I just think the time may well have come.

So, the requirements are all literally the spine; Goal keeper, centre half, cenntre midfield, centre forward.

Clearly the absolute priority is that list in reverse though.
