Labour leader Keir Starmer has responded to Dominic Raab's resignation, which he says shows the "continual weakness" of Rishi Sunak. On Raab's claims the inquiry was flawed, Starmer says he doesn't know why the former deputy PM "thinks anybody wants to hear about his whining about having to resign". Moving his attack to the state of the country, he asks: "Why on earth isn't the government laser focused on the cost of living crisis and NHS?" Probably going to upset me old mucker Ashton!!!...lol .. BUT what a complete a hole KS is! An inquiry instigated by DR, COMPLETELY CLEARS HIM OF THE THINGS THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE BELIEVE IS BULLYING and he stated in the begining if there is just 1 hint " he did" bully or appear to, anyone he would resign. HE DID ... HE ALSO FUNDED? THE INQUIRY? So how come KS cant see that is the way it has panned out, BUT TURNS A BLIND EYE continues on his quest of political points gathering and blames RS .. mind you a lot of flies are coming out of the woodwork with the same blind opportunism Lib Dem deputy leader Daisy Cooper [ deputy leader of party that has less members than the other independants! put together] nowt from SNP, BUT OF COURSE THEY NEED TO KEEP THEIR HEADS DOWN, what has happened to £650m? ... Blow fly season about in earnest now elections in a week or so come on the greens or purples!!!!!!
It looks as though Raab will come out fighting and it will be interesting to see the bones of the report. I think that our view of bullying is totally at odds to what some of the younger and more woke members of society seem to view it as, and that is one of the issues with society as it stands!!
the thing here is RELIANT, the report says one thing for certain [ no bullying! ] and then 2 very minor things! The blow flies are not taking heed of the report they have a premeditated agenda which they appear to be sticking to .. he is guilty. Had the report said he verbally assaulted someone in front of their work colleagues I would condemn him [ thats just 1 of about 4 or 5 major bullying aggressions you could put in the hat ] but he didnt do any of them. The blow flies are being very contradictory, they state daily "not strong enough/ fit for the job/ donrt get it done/ need to elect us ...oh ... thats the point not interested in truth or what they would do [ havent a plan anyway, or one that would likely work ] so have to stick to the very thin thread "they are superior and righteous!" and everyone else is inferior and wrong!
Raab has resigned and called out the Civil Service I’m no fan of his but he might just be right More proof possibly that others want to bring the govt down But what comes around goes around
To a certain sort of person he may be a bully But I’m actually on his side in this one which I never thought I’d say
that makes 2 of us at least! reinforced by the tv commentator who interviewed the labour union leader ...! In reality when you take a back seat and start to look objectively at both sides of an argument [ duke of wellington style ] you see a pattern. Wiz asked me not to report on my Friday coffee morning "chats" which I totally respect. However today was a day of WELLINGTONS AND NOT JUST BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING!!..LOL enough said! Over a period of time you get to see a pattern, be it for you or against you. It is undeniable, I have to accept sometimes the things that disagree with my thinking or interpretation. Facts are the backbone of all things, if you get a third party comment like that of ...... "He [ Tolley ] said Mr Raab "did not intend by the conduct described to upset or humiliate", nor did he "target anyone for a specific type of treatment". IT GETS VERY CONFUSING this statement when in his findings he says .... Mr Raab had "acted in a way which was intimidating, in the sense of unreasonably and persistently aggressive conduct in the context of a work meeting", and that his behaviour involved "an abuse or misuse of power in a way that undermines or humiliates". .... also said, at meetings with policy officials, Mr Raab "acted in a manner which was intimidating, in the sense of going further than was necessary or appropriate in delivering critical feedback". These statements I find difficult to accept, based on the fact he [ Tolley ] was not there and had no idea of the mood of the meetings or the context they were happening in. Again here I draw attention to the real life episodes of Alan Sugar of how meetings all had different tones that set agenda's and what/ how AS conducted himself. IF the armed forces were all to become wimps, like it appears a lot of these over paid civil servants are, then we would be canon fodder to any aggressor! imagine a private goes to the general and says my sergeant told me off because I refused to or didnt do or wanted to do it my way ...... ....
Ashton what do make of this comment can it be both? Mr Tolley said he found a description of bullying had been met when Mr Raab was foreign secretary and justice secretary. But, in relation to complaints from his time as justice secretary, Mr Tolley concluded Mr Raab "did not intend by the conduct described to upset or humiliate", nor did he "target anyone for a specific type of treatment".
having read and re read the report I strengthen my opinion that the complainants were weak and woeful ... we need a strong government all the way down and ministers are near the top so should be able to handle the pressure and get the right results and put up with response a singular or group effort fails to deliver. All my work places have had strong handling.. get it wrong get an earful ... do it right next time or get out because you cant do it ... Wimps and stirrers...
A good manager doesn’t need to give an earful as you put it, a good manager encourages and supports their staff, you’ll find staff will give more if they feel encouraged and supported. Like NP says he wants everyone to give 100%, go on the front foot, take responsibility, he’s aware if you do that you may make mistakes, but he’d rather you do that than play within yourself. He encourages risk taking and by not giving an earful if mistakes happen. His players will then run through a brick wall for him. It’s called man management. Raab’s method is back in the 70’s and 80’s.
Yes, a good manager will always give support and encouragement, but you will always get one arsehole who initially sees that as a weakness and takes the piss! That same manager then needs the balls to give said arsehole a kick up the jacksie or an “earfull”. I’m sure most of us have seen that in a work situation!!
Diane Abbott has been suspended as a Labour MP pending an investigation into a letter she wrote about racism for the Observer, the party has said.
Suspended whilst an investigation takes place, good to see one of our political parties acts correctly, shame our government doesn’t.
please log in to view this image woweee glaciated moraine be interesting to see how they move that lot would save a lot quarrying for road base material. I have seen the French use small amounts to compact down for roads etc maybe 50 million or less cubic metres .. but that is a real biggun
please log in to view this image I think they have the 3 person crew in custody ..believed to be the trafikers hopefully they will get their just deserts!!! butso many people on such a small boat is simply beyond belief ... if you were truly desperatre would you risk a few hundred miles on a small boat for 3 or 4 days or more?
SO 8 OR 9 Egyptians are responsible for the smuggling, they all are giving the excuse they are immigrants!!! dont think that will wash ... Varying interpretations of whether boat was in motion at any point but seems for quite a while it was "drifting" maybe the refusal for "help/ tow " was to do with amongst the 8/9 there was engineers and trying to get get it working again. there was "women and children first" as all rescued were men and rumour was all deceased were men so far
yup .. and no chance to be on deck as the men were blocking [ by their presence ] any access to space on it. It mus have been really unpleasant below any sanitation would just be for a usual crew of maybe 6-10 fishermen!
