Ooohhh Blakes 7, could never make my mind up whether to do unthinkable things to Soolin (Glynnis Barber), or be brutalised by Servalan. Either way I would have died happy.
Watford is very hit-and-miss at present, looking back their last away win was 2nd Jan against Norwich. If we can play similarly to the first half at Boro, we must be looking for 3 points from this one.
I watched an episode of Dempsey and make peace the other day and wanted to knock one out to her character but couldn't remember which one she was Didn’t stop me
You might want to invest in the DVD of the 'Jane' series she starred in in the early 80's ....You could knock several out
Glancing header… really? ffs, some of the greatest headed goals were all glancing headers then. Ally’s the other night was an absolute belter, his movement to get rid of his marker, the twist of his head to get it on target, nestling just inside the post was a thing of pure beauty. Professional footballer commentators thought it was a fantastic goal, who are we to contradict….Glancing header my arse….
Rosie confirms that Harry Vaughan will start tomorrow and Malcolm Ebiowei will be back in the squad, but none of the injured players will be back.
20,000 tickets 'sold' which is amazing considering its a dead rubber for us. The next thing is to get these extra fans back next season actually buying a ticket for the full price. If we expect considerable ( or any) investment in the squad for next season then we have to have 20,000 bums on seats ( or stood up, of course) at the full price every home game. Believe me, Acun has not got a bottomless pot of money and the cost of running this club have soared since he took over. If we do sign any new players the majority of the cash will have to come from player sales, and future tickets sales, sponsorship and so on. I think it's been said before, but there are no fairy godmothers out there, no-one is going to pump millions into a club our size without a considerable return and a very realistic chance of getting it back, pretty quickly, plus the economy of Turkey isn't exactly stable at the moment. To attract 20,000 is one thing, keeping them and getting them to commit financially on a regular basis is another.
It is pretty remarkable (20k+ crowds), even with the offers, when there is nothing much to play for (league wise) and when the football isn't what it might be 'entertainment' wise. It's great that Acun can see that the support potential is there. Roll on next season, let's hope we can get things right on the field, that we can have a promotion push and 20+ every week, with or without incentives.
Free travel for half a season isn't bad. £30 a month for the east stand is very cheap and i qualify for the oap price in june. What more can the fella do.
