Match Preview;
The morning after a frantic draw against Norwich, which we could have won, perhaps we could have lost, but surely we can all agree there should have been at least one red card, and a debatable penalty. Seriously, is there a process by which we can request not to have a referee based on a history of poor decisions? That result leaves us 21st, a point and a place above Reading, who are in the relegation zone. It was good to see Dykes get on the score sheet again last night, with an intelligent run beating the offside, followed by some good control and a poke past the keeper for his eighth goal of the season.
Next up, just what we need, a trip to league leaders, and Champions in waiting, Burnley. They need a win to secure top spot, but they have not won their last two games, drawing against Reading and Rotherham. Suggests their players may be taking their foot off the gas a little, so hopefully that could play into our hands. Their top scorer is Nathan Tella with 19, followed by Anass Zaroury (11), Benson Manuel (10) and Jay Rodriguez (9), who have all scored more than our top scorer, and between them have scored 8 more than our entire team, in case the gap wasn't clear enough.
A massive challenge coming up on Saturday, but we showed a bit of spirit last night, and a lot more grit and determination...so now time to head to Burnley and spoil the party.

“It was a real spirited performance in midweek and if we can take that into this Burnley game then I feel we have a chance of spoiling the party.”

“We are preparing for a tough game. We faced Rotherham, Reading and Blackpool recently who were all fighting and the energy a team fighting to stay up still can be difficult.
‘We are back at Turf Moor and that’s our special place, it has been all season. It won’t change on Saturday.”
