A copper told a group of us back in Terry Neill’s day a good short cut was through those allotments. Great advice. Took half a dozen of us to the opposite end of where the very few City fans were. Nothing happened at first as in those days Watford’s scarves were similar to ours as they played in a similar kit to City not the yellow they adopted a few years later. So everything was fine until one of us said something too loudly. A somewhat fun afternoon after that.
