I think Michut is fine alongside Neil, lack of experience between them obviously but he's defensively minded and probably a bit of an all rounder like Neil. Not dissimilar to a young Evans. I don't mind Ekwah there either although need to see more of him. The others don't work for me.

As I said earlier I'd have brought Luke into midfield and replaced him with Anderson, I'd rather take a risk on an unproven defender than leave us weak in midfield, in our current situation when we want to be winning games and losing won't cost us.

    We are doing okay IMO.

We are very good away, and I think Id expect us to win one of the away games. Not sure Watford are that good away, so that's possible too..

Beat West Brom, which is not impossible at all and we are bang in it.

If we don't, still a good effort all things considered. There is nothing to lose. A lot of pressure on Watford and West Brom to go up , and none on us.

We're in it. A thin looking squad, but we're in it. Let's see. Seven points might do it.

Last nights results were as good as we could have hoped for and proved that several teams are wobbling. Watford are effectively out of the race now, so they'll have nowt to play for when they visit us. Our other 2 games are six-pointers. Blackburns game in hand is against Burnley and West Broms is against Sheffield Utd. The other teams play before us this weekend too, so we'll know exactly what we have to do. Remaining games (not including those above) are as follows:

    Coventry v Reading
    Norwich v Swansea
    Wigan v Millwall
    Preston
    v Blackburn
    West Brom
    v Sunderland
    ------------------------------------

    Blackpool v Millwall
    Coventry
    v Birmingham
    Sheff Utd v Preston
    Sunderland
    v Watford
    West Brom v Norwich
    Blackburn
    v Luton
    ----------------------------------
    Middlesbrough v Coventry
    Millwall
    v Blackburn
    Norwich v
    Blackpool
    Preston v Sunderland
    Swansea v West Brom
    ----------------------------------

3 wins and we'll almost definitely go up. 7 points might be enough. Win on Sunday and we are right in the mix. I'm finding myself starting to look forward to another meeting in The Albert and Sunderland taking over London again. The travel down will be interesting if Boro win their semi too.

I never expected us to be in this position. It's been a fantastic season, but this is a bonus!

I thought he looked physically big and strong when he came on. On the tele anyway. I have no problem at all with giving him a chance to use the pace to stretch teams backwards. Good tactic when you need a goal.

Yeah, at only 17 he is already a big lad and has a lot of pace, he is very direct and not afraid to run at players. Can see him winning a few free kicks as well tbh.

Last nights games have kept us well in the mix, the Birmingham / Millwall clash in the final throws was great to watch well done to Birmingham horrible side that they are, and well done the Welsh lads always had a soft spot fror them , but truthfully, I was not expecting such an enjoyable set of results, This season just keeps giving and I am enjoying it more than any for many a year , and its not over yet,. Sunderland are on the up whatever ensues in these next few days as we all know. OaU.

If selected he has been ignored by Tony in earlier games when he was on the bench and the game was crying out for him, I like Tony, and think he is the man for us atm.,but his game management is not always the best imo.

Don't know much about the lad, but good luck to him. Great to see him getting a chance.

And if he's got pace, there's always an impact he can make.

Especially with the refs at this level running full pelt into the box high chance of a pen

My son's seen him a few times and raves about him. Fortunately we have a few very promising players coming up through the ranks

Was surprised the size of him when he came on very similar frame to Clarke

"3 wins and we'll almost definitely go up."

Don't we have to beat someone in the playoffs?

Seriously though, excellent post and shows again how tight it is ...

... plenty of shocks still to come.

He got into a great position for an easy pass from Jack Clarke that would have given him a decent run at goal a few minutes after coming on, but JC didn't see him and ran into traffic instead. I was a bit gutted to be honest, was excited to see what he could do...

I thought he saw the pass and chose not to play it. Annoyed me at the time.

Anyway, I’m really enjoying this season. There are tons of positives, success stories and glimpses of talent to come.

I thought the same, was like he looked at him and thought not passing to him and went looking for another option.
