The depressing part is that regardless of who is in power, I think the current mess would have been no better handled under Labour than it has been by the Tories. Economically it would likely have been even worse, given that they wanted to keep us locked down for even longer and would have totally wrecked what was left of our almost dead economy.
The illegal immigrant situation would also be no better, taxes would be even higher, the NHS would have got more billions of taxpayers money (the cost of the NHS is now at 12% of our GDP compared to it being 8% just a short while ago) to waste on asking 65 year old blokes if they are pregnant, the Home Office would still be useless, the Met Police would still be untrustworthy, little of no action would be taken against the climate mob who disrupt normal people's lives and who aren't held accountable for their actions, and the leader and deputy leader of the Labour Party would still be kneeling for BLM and would still not be able to tell you what a woman is.

The country needs a complete reset from top to bottom. And in my humble opinion, neither the Labour or Conservative parties are up to the job.

    Spot in Angelic.

The ONLY reason Starmer will be PM is the Tories have been useless.
It beggars belief that those who vote thinking and believing times under Starmer, Rayner, Abbott, Lammy and co will get better.
Some have said it can't be any worse than the mess now.
Bet your life it will be.

Governments loose elections, that’s always the case. We never know what the opposition are going to be like if elected. This government though has been far worse than any in my lifetime, they’ve lied to parliament, we’ve had two PM’s thrown out by their own MP’s , two FPN’s given out, one to the then PM , the other to the present PM. Who now also got another one for not wearing a seat belt, His Mrs was a non-dom and there were q’s about him also being a USA citizen, he’s now only just owned up to his Mrs benefitting from the recent childcare changes, there was the debacle with Liz truss and her cronies, Dominic Rab being investigated for bullying, I could go on and on. If this was the Labour Party doing all these things you’d be going apoplectic. GET THIS SHOWER OF **** OUT !!

I dont need hope for me just hope for the hard done by population of UK who are manipulated by certain overseers! ... just get rid of people/ groups/ etc that waste money on things that never materialise... spend what they dont have .. stoop to new lows in efforts to promote themselves .. when they have nothing to offer they swoop on what someone else had .. but when they revert [ those that were swooped on ] they finish up with egg on the face and nothing to offer ....

Yes I saw PMQ’s, didn’t really notice I tend to focus on Pm and Kier.

Disagree Boris won it on promising to level up the North (red wall seats), but mostly on “getting Brexit done” , Corbyn didn’t help either I agree, but mostly Boris won it.

Just had the first gas bill for 2023
In January we were £24 in credit and our Direct Debit went up in line with what British Gas suggested.
Despite the previous credit and the increased Direct Debit amounts over the quarter, we owe them another £140.00 on top and we've been very conscious of when we've had the heating on and run hot water.
I'm dreading the electric bill if this is anything to go by !!

we get a change in tariff in August I ummm'd and aaaahhh'd about taking it out for 2 years fixed! Our gas and electric is currently £116 per month!, I added a tenner back in January from the £106 that it was! my state pension rose by £16 a month and council tax by about £20 a month+ ... already in red! WITHOUT GAS AND ELECTRIC!

Paying £115 a month for Electricity and £75 for Gas plus £235 for Council Tax
Those prices were up from £65 for Electricity and £45 for Gas previously and Council Tax was £215.
With summer (ha ha!) supposedly on it's way the heating will be off for 6 months or more so I'm hoping that the money owed now will drop hugely over the next 2 quarters as I won't let them put my Direct Debits up again at the moment.

I said blame Marv and the council they waste the money ... guess who she is voting for and its not blue but the colour of her rage!!!

No not on a fixed tariff, I’ve a new petrol hybrid. I’ve found a local independent petrol station which is around 15p per litre cheaper than most supermarket petrol. Last time I filled up was £139.9 per litre. I don’t use it much so that was around 3/4 weeks ago.

Just shows how much most petrol stations are ripping us off.
Will it be different when KS is PM ?Know he's after windfall profits, can he do something about prices at the pumps. He'll find out it's easy to talk about things but nigh on impossible to change 'big business'.

And all these years the energy companies have also been charging us the renewables tax of 5% on our bills
That not a single member of the public were ever asked about and certainly wouldn’t have agreed to or voted for
I got rid of my Mondeo diesel thanks to bloody Marv
Have gone from 42 mpg to 23 mpg in my newer Focus
    And for what ?

I only found the petrol station by chance, went past once on my way to go for a pub lunch and wondered why the queue for this petrol station was down the road. Had to go on the wrong side of the road to get past, on the way back went in and filled up. It’s a way from where I live, but if I’m in the area always stop and fill up. I understand Costco do cheap petrol too, so maybe worth signing up.
