On Connolly, don't think we can class him as a sick note, broken toe can happen to anyone, it'd be more worrying if it was a muscular issue, like tetteh keeps having

Macca played on the right first half but on the left second , got caught there on his own , first half he didn’t . Was he covering for Greaves who to be honest I can hardly recall in the game. It’s not criticising him it’s just what I saw .

Macclesfield should have taken him out on the half way line and taken his first yellow card of the season. That aside he had another good game last night

I know they'd have ben at it in the second half, Burt I just wonder if they'd have played like that with Smith at fullback - clattered by Elder... The lad Jones hasn't been able to get a game..

They showed a stat since Rosie arrived, defensively we are top 6, but points wise we are 10th, we'll improve next season but need a little.more nowse and were for all in this team.

I can't see how your claim that we've been in "play-off challenging form" is anywhere near correct?

We have seen improvement under Rosenior, that's undeniable and we thank him for that but to equate that to us challenging for the play-offs is IMO simply wrong?

We're safe, that's good news but it's been an odd,topsy-turvy season?

Under Arveladze we were going nowhere,1.10 points per game, is at best,'scraping survival form'....P45!!

We then go through a poor run under an interim coaching team which yielded 9 points from 8 games, that's also poor form!!

Maybe if the owner had have put plan B in place to replace Arveladze with Rosenior immediately we wouldn't need to assess that disastrous period.

We then appoint Rosenior who has undeniably took us to safety but to liken 1.32 points per game to play-off form is stretching things a bit far.

Vaughan was never an 8. Some tidy touches, one nice little run and a couple of nice (albeit straight forward) passes, but his involvement and impact was nothing like an 8!! Not knocking him at all, but let's not get daft.
Rosenior talks about 'not panicking and sticking to the plan' 2nd half. Well, from what I could see, we got caught out several times by 'following the plan' (of playing it around and out from the back). And as for the throw-in that was a good 10 yards or more into their half that went backwards, then was immediately passed back to Darlow who then passed it out for Jones to intercept; lucky escape. We were well in their half and surely should be looking to go forward not back to the keeper to then try to get the ball back to somewhere near where the throw-in was.
First half was very good from us. As others have said, I can see Boro going up through the play offs.

Key thing for me was Rosie’s decision to change Sayyadmanesh round. Why? He can’t play on the left - we’ve seen it time and time again. If he was worried about their right/our left, just bring on Longman for Pelkas, as Longman can play both sides effectively, and is a good battler defensively. Some fantastic play first half though. If we’d got a second then, could have been very different. 2nd half collapse was poor but don’t think it should overshadow what was good.

Vaughan getting a lot of mentions on the MOM thread as well as in Baz's ratings.....he gave it away for their first goal, and lost possession a few times sloppily, not saying he had a bad game, but I wouldn't put him ahead of Traore or Slater. Think that's harsh on Elder too, he was exposed on that flank with the overlapping run from their full back who was rapid.

I don't think it's daft, he'd be my MotM as well.

He wasn't anywhere near motm or an 8. But we do it all the time with young players..... Just build the up way to much way to quick. Kids got potential and it's great to see him get game time. But I doubt very much he'll be a regular starter or on the bench weekly when we have a fully fit squad next season. I wouldn't be shocked to see him go out on loan either.

Fully agreed, he doesn't look out of place at all, and has bags of potential but let's not pretend he's the next Bowen or KLP just yet

Putting a kid with that ability, desire, skill and attitude out on loan would be ridiculous at best.

It's very seldom I 'gush' over an up and coming young player but this kid has ticked numerous boxes for me and I can genuinely see him being our next Bowen/KLP in a very short space of time, the sad part of that is,we generally sell our jewels and this kid could be worth a lot of money with a full season under his belt.

Of course,I could be blowing out of my backside but I see things in the lad that I haven't seen for some time...

If Rosie genuinely see's him as a first team player and will get a decent amount of game time with us next season then of course a loan is ridiculous. But I'd rather see him go to L1 until Xmas and play week in week out as apposed to 5/10mins here and there with us, which will do his development no favours.

He's played two games in the Championship and looks every bit a Championship player already, it would be ridiculous to send him out on loan.

Not sure about that. I agree he wasn’t motm or an 8 but he definitely looks first team standard and not just a promising kid who might play bit parts here and there off the bench.

It he's going to continue to get decent game time then a loan is ridiculous, but if he's not going to get more then 5/10mins here and there then he's not going to progress. He's got the potential that's obvious. But he can't stand still. He needs first team games to continue progressing.

If he could go out on loan to an ipswich, derby, peterbrough, a team challenging at the top end of l1 next season

    I think it'd be beneficial
