He means Marco saying "We this and we that" when talking about Sunderland. Marco spoiled himself a few years ago when we were about to play Derby, we were looking at relegation and Derby were looking to go up. Anyway Marco pretty much said he'd prefer Derby to win because they're going for promotion, even though a loss for Sunderland would've been one step closer to going down.
Correct though it seems some people still worship him and ignore the facts We tonked them Thought everyone would be clued up on that Some people talk when they don’t know the facts And look foolish for it
Phillps pissed me off, was rent a quote for a little while on all things SAFC. He was getting paid to gove his opinion in SAFC however, to anyone who knew anything about the club could tell.he knew very little and did even less research. Have no problem with him having little interest in SAFC now, my problem was him not bothering to do any research. Icing on the cake when KLD came in just aswell Donald is staying around to help guide him as he is only 20 whatever he was at the time. Now 10 minutes talking to anyone of the fan groups, fanzines or even reading one of the forums would have told him the club was being run in to the ground by Donald selling young players (the future of the club) to keep the lights on and the last person fans would want giving anyone advice on running SAFC was him. On the other hand KLD despite his age came from a background of of big football clubs and had the backing of even more knowledge and fans felt he was very likely to set the club up in a professional manner and would start a turn around for the better! But cause he was an absolute legend on the pitch it never goes down well to say these things.
I went along with my father in law, who's Irish, to one of those "an evening with" things with Jack Charlton. I wasn't that keen on going, but went along just to accompany him. We ended up sat next to Jack at the meal. He was a real nice bloke, and we just chatted abouty the North East, and him with my father in law about Ireland. He came across as a completely down to earth normal guy, who you'd just easily talk to and have a laugh.Possibly the nicest Mags fan I've ever met.
Charlton bros are my very distant relatives, only ever met them once as a kid. Family talk though was Jack a good bloke and Bobby a bit of a person above his station
Oh dear. Put your hard hat on! But tbf it was a long time ago and most just never knew of it. I have a good memory tho...better than most. And also I had to read the OP thread a couple of times. If he put a full stop at end of first line it makes sense straight away. Bottom line is tho...the OP was right. Marco is a prat and should not be representing SAFC on a radio station.
