is see pgm(anutd)ol are out explaining why maguire is allowed handle the ball at 0-1 and materially affect the game but Antonio having a shot hit him is not allowed.

the consistency is great to see isn't it.

one rule for man utd, one rule for the rest.

Thing is, even if Robbo had gone and punched the lino (clearly didn't even grab him as they're claiming), the lino isn't allowed to just elbow him still without consequences. It's a farce

Think you will find that clearly he is allowed to just elbow Robbo without consequence
    Rule#407
Anyone can twat a Liverpool FC player whenever they want - free from consequence
    Interestingly
    Rule#408
Should a short LFC player kick someone in the face who has ducked into a challenge - the LFC player must be sent off

to pretend to get more revenues in. Simple as that.

they know they need to fake more and more revenues but 5k spend per seat per game on food even for them is a stretch.

Considering they're under review for financial misdemeanors, they've got a cheek putting this out there now.

The new FFP rules are based on revenues. team have 3 to 4 season to get all wages and transfers down to 70% of revenues.

Simple solution is to fake the revneues.

City have been doing this since 216 when this ffp issue first arose. they delayed the court case and started building this fake revenue streams and are now the number 1 global club in terms of revenues.

no not real, not barca not bayern not utd. Its little man city with no fans and no global support.

    FAKE.

they can well afford to take 300mil of oil money and rebuild their stolen commonwealth stadium as thats not covered in FFP, never have to make any accounting for it and then declare a massive income off every new seat and be the first club to a billion per year in revenues.

Its a total and utter scam, everyone knows it.

It is fake, yes, you're absolutely right about that... But not accurate to say they have no global support. They don't have the domestic support where people are more likely to stick to local teams, family supported teams, teams who were big when they were kids and stay with one team (peer pressure in the form of your mates thinking you're a twat if you change teams).

Other countries you get much more transient fans. I know when I'm out in the US on the rare occasions I see a football shirt, there's a 50:50 chance it's going to be whoever is top of the league that year. I'm sure it's a common phenomenon around the world. People support whoever is winning when they don't have a legitimate connection to any team (like you would if you lived there).

I'm sure in the non-domestic market City has 20 times more fans than they did 20 years ago, easily. Domestically things change slowly, but foreign support is fickle... But yeah, the rest I agree with. They fake their numbers and there is no way they are as big as Madrid or Barcelona.. (or even us and Utd)

those are not real fans and not monatisable.

half wear fake gear and pay for TV with the global TV deal. the casual fan isn't the same as you need about 10x of them to every local fan

I don't disagree with that.... But get enough of them and they make an impact.

I could believe City are now in the top 15 revenue-from-fans teams now. (Obviously not #1)... But somewhere after: Real, Barcelona, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Deportivo ****a, Bayern, etc, there is a spot called City and they are moving up the longer they win trophies.

Wouldn't take long for them to drop again though as they rely on foreign support which is very fickle. If they had a season as bad as ours has been they would have lost half their fan base this year.

/ As an aside, even though it's a very different word, I think I'm one of those people who read by word shape rather than actually reading (I read quicker than most but I often misread things if I don't force myself to focus)... The word Monatisable, I read as Moustache at first... <ok>

I don't really buy it that much as they've only won a few local titles ;)

I have never seen the hysteria of an lfc or utd game over seas. I do think there is not an unlimited pot of spending fans out there and if there is they are following real madrid

I can't speak for everywhere globally, but the summer games that come through Charlotte most summers seem to be very pro-English teams. Wasn't always that way. Real and Barcelona used to be king, but English teams are a far bigger draw here now than other countries teams.

(I don't know why, but Liverpool specifically, is a fan favourite in Charlotte, I know they have a massive fan group there... I don't understand the link between Liverpool and Charlotte, but I believe it's one of the reasons they've been here several times when coming to the US)

I suspect of foreign leagues, Spain is still the number one league in South America... But I know in terms of global revenue, England overtook Spain years ago now.

I think you'll find some part of history had a glut of immigration from the region. a lot of places in yankland have clusters of folk from the same area cos even though they leave a place they still want the familiar.

There was a video on YouTube a while ago of an American celeb at a city preseason game in the US. All done up in his pale blue city shirt shouting 'come on united'. As you suggest, that's how much they understand football.
