When my daughter was about that age, we met Ashbee, Delaney, Myhill, Walters and a few others in a pub, and they went out of their way to not just acknowledge, but to fully engage with her and other kids and fans there, sharing sweets, banter and general chit chat showing a genuine interest in the fans. They really were top notch.

It just goes to show that class can't be bought, you've either got it or you haven't.

My middle son was a ballboy on Sunday for Man City u21 v Chelsea u21. At the end of the game he has a photo with Rico Lewis, who gathered all the ball boys together and had a group photo. He spoke to them for ages and all the boys were made up. He wasn’t even playing! To be fair most of the players who did play came and chatted to their families and also kids. They were their ages. Really good to see.

It doesn't look good from that short video, but usually mascots and family mix with players after the game - this looks like it's before the game and they're on their way in. Always dangerous to make anyone still living, and who you don't know first hand, a hero

The father of the girl said she had a great day and met the players after. Still think it didn't look good.

He bought 6 of us a pint in Fulham after a game he didn't play. Was with his mate Barry Rutter. Someone pointed out George S to him and told him he was the bloke who always started of the Waggy Waggy Waggy Oy Oy Oy chant on Bunkers. Waggy said he always wondered who it was, called him over and gave him his fancy Dunhill style lighter. Didn't dign anything though.

Don’t see that at Fenerbahce. They don’t throw things into disabled fans areas. That is what idiot from places like Birmingham do.

Fenerbahce atmosphere or the febrile cauldron of the MKM? I know which I prefer.

I like a cauldron as much as anyone, but I reckon stabbing children to death is probably a step too far.

Sounds like Hull rugby fan culture throwing stuff and injuring kids. Wonder how many the police have identified? Or don’t they spend weeks studying CCTV like they do with the slightest incident at football?

The first chance you get, you bring up the local RL teams. The posts are about a ****ing Turkish football team FFS, how does our RL teams come into that?
