Has anybody risked a flutter on the National this year? I am NOT a betting man but I do have a flutter on this race. Basically I don’t know much about the races so it’s all a bit random for me and I use very small stakes - £3-5. After reading the racing pullout in the Daily Fail I’ve gone E/W on Any second now Noble yeats Delta work Back on the Lash (this WAS random because I identified with the name ) Mrs R&W went for Francky du berlais Lifetime ambition Sam Brown The big dog The big breakaway. There was absolutely no science or thought in her selections - just letting randomness do it’s thing….. but it gave us our biggest ever win a few years back with Mon Mome!!!!!
Le Milos Gaillard Du Mesnil Diol Kee Hill Sixteen Mr Incredible Velvet Elvis Vanillie For me and Mrs RP...........waste of money but something to watch.
Did well this year, lost nothing… didn’t bother betting . Used to like the grand national, lost interest now tbh
hopefully they wont protest on the course as horses at full tilt will kill them or seriously injure them
£20 profit ... 1/4 odds = 5 x £5 = 25 + stake £5 = £30 minus outlay I bottled it earlier was going to do 4 BUT CHANGED BET NEVER do that added in aint that .. fav at the time and was going to do 3 x £30 ew and £10 ew Eva's
I had a good size EW on The Big Dog with LB that paid out to 5th place, thank god for that. So got a decent return
I got a sixth place at 80-1 and got about 17 dollars for my 2 buck outlay. It was my first bet for about a lifetime, so not bad I suppose.
