I couldn't make out why Maguire got a yellow card, maybe I didn't see it very well, but it looked to me as though the player was trying to swap shirts with Maguire. As for the penalty thing, I was surprised it wasn't given, especially as in the game before one was given against Antonio at point blank range, but I've given up trying to understand the rules. Glad United lead though, helps sort out this mess down near the bottom of the table.

I can explain that one - VAR has an extenuating circumstances override button that can be used if a potential decision would otherwise go against one of the Big 6 ...

You're missing the point, Ponky (something you are particularly adept at) ... I care about my club whichever division they are in ... and I'd love them to stay up but it's going to be a tough ask ...

However, I've seen enough relegations in over 50 years of watching them to know that it is not 'the end'... indeed, it can give a club the chance to prune and build...

... as was shown last summer, we don't have the kind of money to throw at recruitment that the Big 6 (and others) have ... so if getting relegated happens, it might just be the best way to rebuild for us ... Burnley are showing that ... coming back up and with a better squad than went down ...

Here endeth the lesson ...

Or you could sink like a stone like Sheff Weds

Either way, the only lesson here is that there's no real positive spin on getting relegated.

It would be a disaster for Lesta given where you were a few seasons ago.
