Roger you are probably right, that speculating is a waste of time, but we have all been doing it for many months now and I suspect that we are no nearer to the truth now than when it started.

One thing that puzzled me on Tuesday was the comment that the board were in regular contact with the bond holders. Has the board seen something like this coming? I have been worried by just how quiet GT has been for several months. If things had been going well I am sure we would have heard more from him. GT will do his best to keep the fans on board I am sure and he has good backing from ST and DF. It seems to be getting overlooked that ST was just as critical of Baz as GT.

Because Ashcroft wanted out and there was nobody else even vaguely credible to take it on.

Am I the only one here to think, whilst acknowledging that EJ and GT are the best things to have ever happened to the club, that GT was neither professional nor clever in publicly slating Bassini? He has just given Bassini all the cards.

If it had only been GT speaking with anger because he had been dumped in it at the last moment I might have agreed, but Timperley was equally outspoken. He normally sends me to sleep, but Tuesday I was hanging on his every word. Maybe, they are trying to force Bassini's hand into something, don't know quite what, but maybe with his strange method of running a club they felt that something had to be done.

it all seems most odd, if GT was sacked by baz the club returned to the good lord! , dont know about if he left on his own accord!!! Maybe he might have threatened to walk if Baz didnt step down as director , who knows , I think this an unlikely scenario , but it is worth noting GT ST and SD all had a pop at Baz!

I would imagine that LB has partially planned this by not attending the fans forum. He probably knew that comments would be said against him and his plan of action is to resign as director and then be some murky owner who can retreat into the shadows even more then he does now. I actually think it might be best to go into administration, lose 10 points and get relegated to League 1 but at the same time get rid of LB and basically, start again.

When did Dyche have a pop at him Norway?

What cards would those be? Combining the constraints placed on him by the takeover agreement with the fact that Bassini is no longer on the board, while clearly not toothless he is nonetheless in somewhat of a corner.

I'm sure talks will already have taken place between the remaining members of the board and bondholders to work out what happens if Taylor or Timperley were adjudged to have been constructively removed.

Just a quick one, if LB was so ill in the weeks leading up to the fans forum why did he leave it until the last minute to cancel? One would have thought that a cancellation a week or two before the event to appropriately rearrange the forum would have sufficed. Obviously fans would not have been happy but would have accepted it.

Instead we get this sham, this mockery from LB and best of all he wants GT to apologise

    Never I say NEVER!

I want administration, I want relegation and I want this imbecile LB OUT!

I have generally been sympathetic towards Laurence. I have always felt that people are too harsh on him, particularly as whilst under ownership of the club, he has done no wrong.

Laurence Bassini is an idiot. He is a complete joke.

At what point did he think it was acceptable to use the uncertain financial situation of the club as a device for blackmail, to get an apology? You seriously couldn't make this up!!!!

Fair enough, Graham Taylor could have maybe acted a bit more discrete with his feelings towards Bassini's absence. But, he was only saying what everyone else was thinking. And still, is this a way to run a business?! Threaten the porspect of administration beacuse of someones "hurtful" comments?!?! Maybe, this is how he runs his businesses, and we all have seen how well that worked.

He is certainly doing a good job of winning over fans. I am pretty sure the second item on the list of "Winning Over Fans of a Football Club Who Are Sceptical of Your Intentions, Financial Clout and Past History" is to force the club director, legend and greatest manager out of the club, by use of blackmail as a result of a petty apology.

His actions this week are indefencable.

    Very sad

Many fans are now saying they would take administration over this man continuing to own our club.

These are very worrying times for our 'Club' LB is acting like a spoilt child, I was very surprised at GT's outburst, it is the most passionate I have heard him about WFC for quite a while. I honestly thought GT had almost given up on us but this proves how much WFC is in his heart! I get a warm fuzzy feeling when talking about GT but LB sends shudders down my spine!

Is there not a Regulation in the FA to see if the owner is reliable? If there is did LB buy his way around it?

I think GT is showing a great deal of common sense and restraint by refraining from making public comment since the resignation farce. These goings on must be putting unwanted pressure on him and and any public comment by him would only escalate the problems. Best to resolve the immediate problems behind closed doors. Am looking forward to 22nd November on 3CR. Whatever GT does, he has my support.

Take admin now , why not were going down anyway, get a clean slate pompey style , will be more attractive to a new owner ! you get everything of value sold off ,probably lose the academy as well Fantastic ! Take a deep breath guys dont bite off the hand that feeds you! Granted the guys a schmuck but lets not jump from the frying pan into the fire! Avoiding relegation is pivotal to this clubs future! If we do go down , it will be a long hard fight to recover! Accept the fact that days of sugar daddy owners like Elton are over!
