Correct. A few including myself have said this on here. The club are right in line for prosecution on this, as it is a live subject, they say they have addressed it and, inevitably, it is still happening. They are treading a tightrope here, and whoever has signed the arrangements off as acceptable could find themselves in the dock.
The bloke seems utterly out of his depth working at a football club. He might be good at his job in industry but he's scored so many own goals so far it's actually embarrassing for him.
Sorry mate I am not questioning you. I sit in the West stand and immediately thought booking and off. However now looking at that my thoughts are surely Chong should have been booked at a minimum as well.
Huddersfield, at Swansea yesterday, had 23% of the ball and managed one shot on target. So it appears Warnock has asked them to pack the first third, probably penalty area, and let us bang our heads against a brick wall while hoping for a goal on the counter. It's a typical 'first goal is the winner' kind of game whereby they'll try to stay in the game until we throw everything forward, in the last fifteen minutes, and hope to catch us. Sadly a point would be a much bigger deal for them than us so we'll have to be patient. Unless, of course, we can score early then anything could happen. If I were Mowbray I'd be asking Clarke, Roberts, Amad to keep running full pelt at their box and look to get through them ... ... the worst, that can happen, is that we have the chance to win free kicks and penalties. The tackles will be flying in and the faster you run the harder you fall.
Single frame is often inconclusive. I thought it was a blatant obstruction by Cirkin and you could argue that Chong had no option that to put his arm in Cirkin's face such was the obviousness of the obstruction
Yeah, Agree. As soon as he made the challenge I said red card - stayed down feigning injury to try and con the ref, but it was a yellow all day long I would question the 1st yellow though - looked very soft to me
No it's fine to question. Thats the point of the board. He was just all wrong (Cirkin). Really poor positioning and square. Ref had no choice for me.
You could argue Cirkin did the right thing tbh ... taking one for the team. Chong would've caught that ball and left him for dead, Batth had abandoned the centre and Birmingham were pushing players into our box. If Cirkin had sidestepped, and they'd scored, that would've been the end of our play off hopes. Lets be honest Chong will give many full backs a hard time.
I'm still in 2 minds, Cirkin had nowhere to go. Chong plays the ball forward within 2 yards of Cirkin running at speed. Cirkin doesn't have to get out of the way, it's up to Chong to go around him.
What's being overlooked is a much bigger, and more stupid, error imo. We're 2-1 up and Amad has total control of the ball, with ten minutes left, midway inside their half. Instead of keeping the ball, or heading for the corner, we try a ridiculous back flick and lose the ball to Bacuna in acres of space. He has an easy pass to the most effective player on the pitch who's been running at us all day. That could've easily cost us two points and Cirkin would've taken the blame. They're a young team and became totally carried away with the euphoria ... ... much as I did and I'm a bit older
Yep. I don't think it's particularly deliberate from Chong either. He's running at speed and instead of being side on and ready to give chase which is what you would expect, Cirkin squares up with the sole intention of stopping the player. Chong's reaction seems like a combination of trying to change the path of his run to go by him and trying to protect himself against a foul. It looks bad if you take still shots, but it was a split second in real time.
It was a clear yellow. But Cirkin wasn't feigning anything, as could be seen when he got up with his nose smashed in. Chong meant it too.
Also if they have flares I'm sure the stewards would just take them of them, anyone found trying to get them in the ground should be refused entry. Oh yeah and smacked on the head with a ****ing big stick
The brilliance of Amad's goal overshadows the incredible pass from Jack Clarke .... ... what a joy to be watching these lads.
