Fair play to Iain Dowie. A co-commentator who actually does some research before picking up the microphone. Shame it's so rare.
We've looked pretty good, done everything right apart from actually work the goalkeeper/put the ball in the net.
Hmm, not sure if this is coming across differently on streams, but at the ground I thought that was, in the main, pretty ****e. Slow. Ponderous. Turgid. No urgency and no focal point in attack.
Can anyone remember the last time we scored from a corner? Once again the players seem to have forgotten that we should be fighting to stay up. The lack of urgency is really pathetic
Decent enough first half in terms of possession and playing in the Palace half. A couple of decent chances, but it would be nice to see someone occasionally leather the ball from 25 yards, instead of trying to play through the packed centre of their defence. I would take a deflected goal.
We can start by moving the ball quicker. One touch, pass and move. When we've done that we've actually looked threatening.
