Was asked politely to wear a mask in the empty GP waiting room this morning and I sat there for 15 minutes or so without bursting into tears or thinking I was being controlled by some Orwellian dark forces. It’s not that big a deal bro.
Got an appointment with my consultant next week, I got a text message from the hospital as a reminder and about mask requirements, I just thought it was a general message that hadn't been edited since covid - reading Bwoods comment I'm not so sure now.
Face masks should be encouraged in healthcare settings in my opinion.

yeah defo it’s been so damaging over the years without them hasn’t it
some ugly fks need coverings for sure
Places that are full of sick/vulnerable people should be protected as far as is reasonably practical.
This has nothing to do with Covid by the way. Just seems like common sense.
Agreed that cleanliness should be the priority. Hospitals etc should be as sterile an environment as possible.People in certain situations will be protected always have been since day one of the nhs….but as we also know most in hospital would not benefit from people wearing masks….cleanliness is much more beneficial and a hundred percent more important

Lots of instances of poorly people catching other ailments whilst getting treatment. Even if masks reduce the risk by say 1%, it’s a worthwhile exercise?
Not if used correctly mate.nah a mask is bad for health dude……ask peej
I don't like my surgery making me wait my turn.
I don't even make an appointment nowadays.
Just turn up and walk straight into the GP room, fck 'em I will NOT be controlled.
Changing them regularly. Putting them on properly.Tell me more![]()
