We do have Sandro in the wings, but it'd be nice to see him on the pitch a bit earlier sometimes.

    smart that's a good thing.

Clyde, where you've seen Parker over-ran, is where I've seen Modric half a yard behind the game, in certain spells in recent matches he's been terrible, giving it away and coming out 2nd best in challenges, but I take you're point on pushing Parker. I'm really hoping Capello doesn't give him 90 in either of these 2 poxy England games.

yes smart modric hasn't been great, parker's needed help in there, second half in retrospect over the last few games maybe sandro alongside him and sacrifice one of modric or vdv might have helped relive some pressure, certainly against fulham, i was surprised when defoe came on instead of sandro.

Hello pnp, that good. badger free zone. except the smiley.

Honestly, if he were to post on here, then I'd consider this a clean slate.
My fellow mods might disagree with me and instantly boot him, though.

That game was screaming out for Sandro to get amongst it and Harry may well have done something earlier, it was Bond n Jordan afterall. Harry getting rest is the only bonus of this Int. break.

He went off for Brazil, hope it's just precautionary, but it could be his calf again.

We do also have Livermore fortunately, but I like all Spurs fans will be hoping Sandro is fit and ready for Villa. I hope we start with Sandro and Parker, but we'll see.

It'd be nice if Huddlestone could get fit as well, he's been out for a long time

    Very true, CF.
Carroll's been extremely promising in our Europa League ties alongside Livermore, but I'd much prefer to see Huddlestone and Sandro dominating in there.

The Dutch coach is quoted as saying that VDV's injury is probably not too serious. Let's hope he is right.

    Article from the Guardian.

Rafael van der Vaart injures hamstring as Holland draw with Switzerland
    • Van der Vaart hobbles off after 66 minutes in Amsterdam
    • Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp faces anxious wait

The Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, faces an anxious wait before he finds out the extent of Rafael van der Vaart's latest injury.

The Dutch midfielder hobbled off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury after 66 minutes of the friendly against Switzerland on Friday night and was replaced by PSV Eindhoven's Kevin Strootman.

The Holland coach, Bert van Marwijk, did not seem too concerned when asked about Van der Vaart's injury, saying only: "It is probably not too serious but the game against Germany [on Tuesday] comes too early."

The game against Switzerland finished goalless.

Van der Vaart has already missed part of this season with a hamstring injury and another lengthy lay-off could hurt Spurs' chances of once again breaking into the Premier League's top four. They face Aston Villa next weekend in their first game after the international break.

I read those comments and they didn't quieten my fears about the situation.
