What we've always needed is vast, strict and rigorous detention camps where everyone coming into this country illegally is held without appeal until their claim has been heard and assessed.
They should be looked after and fed. That's it.
So no free phone, legal aid, spending money etc. We are not a charity and we have already allowed over half a million people into the UK last year legally, and some would say probably a lot more !
If they are Albanian, or have a known criminal record and we know who these particular people really are, then they should be deported back to their country immediately and at their own cost.
Instead, people of all ages, including vulnerable teenagers have been put up in hotels, and a lot have just disappeared into the black economy or into gangs carrying out illegal practices.
This country is dying on its ass, and what we don't need, and to aid our own economic recovery, are bills of £7m or more PER DAY dealing with this nonsense. The Government waste enough of our money as it is.

WELL a nurse gets circa £600 a week ... at £7m per day we could employ 78,000 staff nurses. or pensioners another £30 a month

the trans issue and swimming ......

Swim England says it will stop transgender women from competing in its licensed female competitions, instead introducing a separate open category.
The open category is for those "with a birth sex of male, trans or non-binary competitors and any competitor not eligible for the female category".

Interesting the part of the phrase seems to be " have we covered everything" !
So a bloke takes a few pills and is probably as strong as an average bloke but is an imitation woman
... A woman takes a few tablets and becomes a imitation man both keep their private bits! mix in with this either "type" going the full hog [ or sow!? ] and you could get 4 types all classed as one!

barge in Portland harbour ... not a very good idea ... maybe anchored 5 miles off shore with a daily supply ship, and no plastic wet wipes / disp0osable nappiews or toilet paper they can use rags or clth's that are washed in the sea ... they obviously like the sea havinbg spent up to and beyond £4k to cross it Food should be the minimum needed to survive on safely and any wasteage should be put into composter bins .............. I am and have never been against genuine refugee's but illegal immigrants is a different matter. On the news was a programme about the care homes/ older persons welfare and its costs ..

continued, virgin is playing up again4 times today! anything from 3 or 4 mins to a couple of hours ! got a ops screen appear then a few minutes later the refresh worked and I am back on!
costs ... of what was needed which I missed but thought it was £1.3bn ... well £6 million a day [ used to £7m! ] is costs of the illegals 6,000,000 x 365 = £2.2bn + additional costs for health and well being! probably not much change out of £4bn then! And plenty of misfit do gooders would have us build houses even towns to accomodate them sling them in with the pokey Wokies and send them all off on the abandoned not used anymore cruise on cruise of a lifetime through the Panama canal and into to Pacific ............

Some of the local London Councils are rebelling against Khan by refusing to uphold the installation of cameras and the like in their districts.

are people getting fed up? Well in my circle of friends there is aquite a bit of "discontent .
Strikes ... now getting really fed up with them ... arguments put forward are that the reasons why they are overworked!... [ a joke seen by some! ] is because their action of going on strike exasperates the situation. VIZ .
.... DOCTORS GO ON STRIKE SO 250, 000 operations go on to waiting list so that situation is made worse.
Our Economy is being stifled by the strikes and therefore the the inflation stays bloated and the need they say [ strikers ] " inflation is eroding our wages" is self inflicted for them and everyone else!
Based on the working week and minimum wage Pensioners need to be paid more than the current £4.20p an hour! reality is allowing for not paying NI OR PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS .. it should be closer to a minimum of £6.50 per hour or monthly payment of £1040 per month as opposed to average £650 now!
Adverts a real talking point .. quality of them is now very poor, plots make the actors look stupid in a lot of cases, would be better to use cartoons one person stated, representations very very unbalanced! My system of pre recording programmes and maybe watching later or another day! is catching on ... 3 families now do it more regular .. us plus 2.
The time and effort spent on costly enquiries and suchlike along with the wokies and anti "get rid of the illegals problem " costing £6-7m a day on Hotels [ actually more adding in other costs ] has to stop .. one comment was load all the males onto floating "hotels" / barges and TOW THEM BACK TO FRANCE! .. DUNKIRK IN REVERSE!
Starmer and this includes a number of staunch labourites think his advertising campaign is under the belt [ my polite interpretation ] and constant political points gathering diverts from real issues that they dont seem to have a plan for remedying the present concerns with ECONOMY or inflation! His immediate aids are all very personally aggressive and endeavour to belittle as opposed to being constructive in their attitudes to what really needs to be done!
SNP comments regarding them have been rather unkind .... most not printable!!

From where I'm standing, and despite their apparent unassailable lead in the polls, the Labour party still seem divided, racist and misogynistic. The latest 'gutter politics' (David Blunketts words not mine) poster attacks on Sunak and his Wife are low blows, and all coming from a party that can't tell you what a woman is, and who are basically still full of nutters who bandy around words like 'Scum' for people they don't like, yet who would cry if they themselves were called such terms.
Don't get me started on adverts. A wholly misrepresentation of British life.
The Labour party would happily continue with the Open Borders policy that the war criminal Blair introduced and they still have no real policies.
I would never vote Labour anyway, even if this was a one party state. But I'm unlikely to vote Tory either. Living in South Bristol it's all irrelevant anyway as it's always a Labour seat.

OFCOM should ask all of these companies to explain why they feel the need to show every family, in virtually every advert, as being made up of a mixed race couple, when that is not the reality at all.

SNP - Humza Useless as he's been branded, who is also a racist, and someone who as Transport Secretary was caught driving with no insurance, still seems determined to want to challenge Westminster on Article 25 and the whole gender identity/idealogy.
He's clearly as deluded as his predecessor was, and we all know that she got what she deserved in the end. Yet Kate Forbes was ridiculed for holding Christian beliefs.

Starmer might come to regret that advert. Still don't think it will make a difference to Labour winning next year, maybe by a reduced majority.
The Tories have only themselves to blame, they've been bloody useless.

Do you really need a TV licence?
If you don’t watch any BBC programmes, you could get away with not having a TV Licence.
The rules state that you are allowed to watch on-demand or catch-up with most channels (for example ITVX or All 4), apart from the BBC.

Currently, the TV Licence fee stands at £159 (£13.25 a month). If it does rise to £172, it will cost you £14.33 a month from April 2024.
So, it’s a good time to check if it’s really worth having a TV Licence and your alternative options:
You can pay £10.99 a month for a standard Netflix subscription, which lets you stream on up to two devices with no adverts.
Yearly, this would come to £131.88 (£27.12 less than the TV Licence fee).
If you’re not bothered about adverts, you could opt for the Netflix basic ads package at £4.99 a month (£59.88 a year), but note, this package also gives restricted access to certain shows and movies.

Interesting, do I really need a TV licence? if enough people opt out, bearing in mind less people licenced nowadays! something would have to give!

In this day and age paying the state broadcaster a licence fee is very old school.
There is so much other paid for content from the likes of Sky, Amazon, Netflix etc that people deserve to decide themselves whether or not they want to pay for BBC content
I think it will be gone within 3 years or so and will be replaced with an optional subscription service

I’d be surprised and disappointed if the BBC disappeared completely.
IMO we need a state broadcaster. We may not always agree with or like what it transmits, but at least it’s not driven by financial interests. Political interests and policies often - granted, but not money, unlike the commercial alternatives.
I think it’s important to have a medium that doesn’t depend on big contracts or the media moguls.
Yes, lots of what they broadcast today is left-wing biased and carries a ‘woke’ agenda, but if it disappeared then everything we saw on the news would be controlled by the Fox network, or the likes of Rupert Murdoch - a dangerous place to be.

I've got to be honest, although there are many on offer if I didn't have BBC radio in life I might give up, the variety, quality and choice is on the button for me individually but I must admit I have followed Ken Bruce to his new station and enjoying it.

you dont need a licence for Radio ... Ken Bruce was my alarm clock! ... I got to bed about 3 am plus! POPMASTER.... the presenter on there now is real pants and the music is dire the chats are often pathetic ... I can find the off button blindfolded.
As the number of people desert the BEEB the fee will just keep going up .... they do have some very good programmes of their own making and supplies a good income. £500k for a presenter should be the max ... ITV FOR EXAMPLE HAVE SOME REAL GOOD ONES but no where near the £'s of Lineker! and not saying just for sport!
