After a bit of a ****e result against Cheltenham, i think we will be back on it Saturday (provided Harness doesn't start) It's gonna be a bit of a rollercoaster this one but we come out on the right side of a 5-3 scoreline!!
We better win this. I’ll be high up in the Pioneer for this now all the glory hunters are taking all the seats! Season ticket secured for next season so won’t have the trouble getting tickets we’ve had this year. I’m going for a modest 8-0 score line.
I hope the end of our winning streak and the 4-4 draw against Charlton earlier this season doesn't affect us psychologically in this match. That 4-4 draw definitely had a negative impact earlier in the season, as our blip occurred in the immediate games afterwards. Broadhead will also hopefully return and we can revert back to the starting eleven that has made us such a force over the last couple of months. This is a key game as we enter the home stretch to secure automatic promotion. It'll be nervy, but I'm going for a 2-1 Town win.
Let's hope Exeter do us a favour before we even kick off. The form book goes out the window for that fixture.
We have to win this match any way we can, now is not the time for patchy form and dropped points, this is a massive game for us with a golden opportunity to stay in the mix at the very least.
I also don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion that Sheff Wed will win at Burton. Kmc has said it often enough, we just need to concentrate on our own games. I believe that the teams around us will drop points at some stage. I think (hope) 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat might just be enough
Everyone has dropped points, and some totally unexpected results. But we march on and stay in the mix. 2-0 and Broady comes on for a loosening run around at KM's standard subs at sixty.
According to TWTD, the ref for this match is a Sheffield Wednesday supporter. Surely that can’t be allowed?!
If this can be verified then it should be looked into, and another ref standing by. They are an awful standard without being bias, with the exception of that lady ref.
Wasn’t there a Newcastle fan in charge of a Man United game recently? Even if you declare your primary club of support you still might have other favourites and dislikes. The refs at this level have been generally **** so I’m not sure I’m that bothered.
The Club have objected,be interesting to see how that pans out.Hope we haven’t shot ourself in the foot.
If he stays the ref, he will either be the most scrutinized ref and booed and jeered at every incident, or, he will cheerfully red card 2 Charlton players, get cheered to the rafters and become an Hon Town supporter!
I know this is a rhetorical statement, but over the years before social media, how many Man utd, liverpool etc supporting refs officiated our games? And I am harking back to the 70s and 80s.
