Not taking anything away from the quality of the strike, but surely Hart has to get closer than that?

This Wrexham vs Notts County game has been absolutely mental. Penalty given for handball in the last minute and Ben Foster saved it! Wrexham win 3-2. Great entertainment!

Yes I watched it. 1st half was dull until the free kick but 2nd half all hell broke loose!

That save from Gundogan’s shot is great, but how was it not a penalty for him kicking Grealish in mid air right before?

U.K. & Republic of Ireland bid has been submitted for Euro 2028 with 10 venues.

    1 London - Wembley Stadium
2 London - Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
    3 Manchester - Etihad Stadium
4 Liverpool - Bramley Moore Dock Stadium
5 Newcastle - St James Park
    6 Birmingham - Villa Park
    7 Cardiff - Millennium Stadium
    8 Glasgow - Hampden Park
    9 Belfast - Casement Park
    10 Dublin - Aviva Stadium

Probably a good chance we get it, but what an absolute dogs dinner that is.

The South of England left out completely for a men’s football tournament once again (London doesn’t count).

The other countries getting scraps and probably not really offering enough to warrant automatic qualification.

A redeveloped Casement Park is probably all that could realistically be offered in Northern Ireland given Windsor Park couldn’t be redeveloped to the size needed, but the NI national team possibly playing in a GAA Stadium in West Belfast seems… brave, or am I behind the times there?

    It should either be.

    1 England solo hosts
    2 England / Scotland joint
3 At a push a GB wide bid
4 Scotland / Wales / NI / ROI joint bid (I can find 10 stadiums that could realistically host here).

This is going to be very thinly spread.

I don't think there's a ground with sufficient capacity in the south. Brighton would have been the logical choice for the south but would need to commit to increasing the capacity.

For the World Cup it needs to be 40,000, but you can have 3 venues at 30-40k for Euros. The Amex and St Marys would both be eligible.

Apologies if you already know this but the Amex is hopeless to get to. Driving and walking to the stadium is not possible, the only viable option is to be coached in as the train and park and ride gets so packed it takes a long time to empty. Although extra services for both would no doubt help the situation.
There are no amenities available outside of the ground unless you head into Brighton first. It's a shame because the Amex is a lovely looking ground in a beautiful (but remote) area.
St Mary's is a far better option IMO.

And just as beautiful as the silvery full moon shines on the shimmering turquoise waters of the Itchen for an evening game under a clear starlit night.

"the shimmering turquoise waters of the Itchen" might be stretching things a bit but beauty is in the eye of the beholder* as they say.

Is it still there? It has been a long time since I have been anywhere near St Mary's! Surely must be a listed building if it is!!

Being pulled down as we speak, the old Southampton Heritage Group are very upset.
