I'm not quite in the HDQ level of conspiracy theory, but I do feel feel that VAR now makes it easier to manipulate some key decisions (and therefore potentially results) than with no VAR.
We will score 4 perfectly fine goals v spurs that will all be ruled out..Kane will score the winner with a penalty given for a hand ball in the centre circle and they win 0-1. Then you will change your mind.
As Shearer has pointed out VAR looked at the incident on 20 varying clips over 3 minutes and then decide it was a clear and OBVIOUS error? So obvious that they needed to look at the incident 20 times over 3 minutes.
Howard webb was probably "assistant" VAR. Bald manc ****. Dunno why Shearer keeps giving him credit, it's still **** (corrupt) since he supposedly took over.
Shearer can do one ever since he thanked steve bruce for his "hard work" at the club. We were training about 3 times a week ffs. Don't take the ****ing piss out of the fans, club and city. Great player but got no time for the bloke, comes across a right arrogant tit.
If only they had all of your tech available to them Trev, then it would all be clear cut in what, 3 weeks?
Think Gordon is still coming to grips with the system, which is why he is being given less game time. It was noticeable towards the end of the game that when Isak and Wilson were trying to press high he was dropping back which made it much harder and contributed to them taking more control. I like the way we looked when he and Wilson came on though. He looks very quick and very comfortable on the ball - the exact opposite of Longstaff! There was one tackle back he made after losing possession that really showed his pace.
Yeah, I actually let out a "GET IN GORDON!" when he did that. Shows character too, he loses and bolts back to instantly win it back.
Said same thing numerous times since var. Var should have a couple of looks and still not sure then after 30 seconds then sticks with in field. Clearly not obvious if you need 40 looks and then need the ref to go look at it for 2 minutes as well. Also on field ref shouldn’t need to go review the pictures that way as the only reason would need to change mind was it was obviously to a blind monk who hasn’t seen football before that it was the wrong call. Would speak up the decision making to almost instant.
Although they furiously deny it, it seems like sometimes they give teams the benefit of the doubt when they've had bad previous decisions. Ie Spurs got given a victory and we got denied a 3-0 won, so some stupid ones will go out way that game. Plus it's yknow...Spurs, we'd hammer that dross regardless of VAR.
