    huge result for palace.

5 goals where they couldn't buy a goal under Vieira.

bottom of the table is now transformed. palace are all but out of it on 33 with just a few more points as forest will struggle to get another say 9.

Leeds are in massive trouble after that result but not to worry cos they play us next and away from home we are cowards.

    we are firmly 8th now.

I expect City to win it now. Win their game in hand and then beat Arsenal at home and it'll break Arse.

And if they do it'll be a nothing end to the season. Like I said in the MDT it'll just be another title and yet more evidence that City are bad for the PL.

Also hopefully being back in the title chase (and could in control in a few weeks) it might mean they take their eye off Europe and yet again fail in the CL.

IAN LADYMAN: Why are we astonished an official has finally been pushed over the edge? | Daily Mail Online

This titwank of a 'Journalist' followed a Turkish referee from Old Trafford back to his hotel screaming questions at him, then waited there all night so that he could then harangue him all the way to the airport for- sending off a United player in a CL tie. And all during a Daily Mail campaign for "Respect for officials". And again, he repeats the completely unsubstantiated claim that Robbo 'grabbed the assistant by the elbow'. Not from any angle I've seen he doesn't.

I've watched the video from four different angles and at no point does it look like Robbo touches the linesman - unless there's another angle not available to the general public it's safe to say he didn't touch him. For the sake of argument, let's say he tapped the linesman on the arm to get his attention, does that warrant the reaction from the linesman ie elbowing outwards and upwards? If he'd pulled his arm away or pulled it backwards and forwards in a 'don't touch me' way then you could argue it was a natural reaction. Outwards and upwards is an aggressive reaction and not a natural movement.

The rules on players and officials pushing each other apply both ways. An official absolutely cannot react forcefully to being touched/pushed etc. anymore than a player can. Stephen Warnock said it amounted to assault. I thought similar. Assault comes in many forms on an escalating scale. The first of which is common assault which covers this situation. I've never seen anything like it before so there's no precedent.

I've never seen that before. I've seen all sorts of weird refereeing moments in retrospect similar to that but never in the PL. Are there any incidents of officials assaulting players?

Did you ever see the video of the referee who turned up drunk to officiate a game? I think it may have been in the Russian league. It's hilarious. The funny thing was that nobody tried to stop him going on the pitch. He stumbled around for a few minutes before he was escorted off.
