Whatever happens in the next 5 games we should be unbelievable proud of this team. Finishing 5th in L1 after sneaking into the play offs, then losing your manager and most of the first team to long injuries but still find a way to not only avoid relegation, but to finish top had, flirt with the play offs AND play unbelievable football week in, week out. Absolute hats off to SAFC
I wanted mid table obscurity with 6 games to go and nowt to play for, let's get ourselves "on the beach" is what I hoped for.......... and this club can't even do that the bloody beautiful bastards
More games in the tank for the likes of Ba, Ekwah & Hume. Not to mention the likes of Neil, Michut, Cirkin & Clarke are who are still bairns
It’s all still to fight for but realistically we need 12 from 15 in the last 5 games to get into top 6 in my opinion. No more stupid dropped points or slow starts allowed.
Thought Hume was excellent today. First proper season playing out of position was calm and assured barely missed a header. Hopefully we can hang on to him for a few years
We will do a Palace of 2004 we will get there and win the play offs ! i tell you. not a good performance but 3 points other teams slipping up, Preston the worry now though and we go there the last match of the season ! need to switch that game to Old trafford their ground will not be big enough. 69 points for a play off place.
Obviously the 2-2 with QPR has been mentioned but also last minute penalties against both Hull and Bristol City. Even those 4 points dropped to penalties would’ve seen us 5th.
Pressure is off really. Take 6pts from next 2 games and a few teams will be looking over their shoulders
what's the name again of those antidepressants you're taking monty, i'll need some if the wife starts
Blackburn drop two points Millwall drop three points Coventry/Watford drop two points Stoke drop two points Norwich drop two points West Brom drop two points SUNDERLAND gain three points Not a bad day
Every team, in every season will look back at dropped points and missed opportunities. That's the beauty of the game
The kid is something else. From where he was in Jan last year and how out of place he looked, the improvement has been remarkable. He's such an intelligent footballer - I can see him playing centre midfield in the not to distant future
All to play for still for, just look at the results today. There will be a surprise team or 2 sneaking into the top 6 and I see absolutely no reason why it can't be us. It's a perfect time to put a couple of back-to-back home wins together.
