Disappointing to lose our clean sheet record to such a sloppy goal but we need to move on from this. It's still in our hands!
A game we should have won, total domination, one sllly error cost us. 2 pts lost, but always gonna be a tricky game. Not a disaster by any means and we now can see that Pilgrims lost at home! We will take it and on to the next. Harness must never start!
Did they stay over the night before or drive from Suffolk this morning? Should McKenna have rotated after the game on Friday? Whatever it was, they’ve let themselves down today and they’ve squandered the breathing space.
Thinking back to John Lyall’s promotion - we were anything but consistent that year. Not long left now to find out if we’ll get over the line and I don’t think we thought we’d even be in the mix for the autos. COYB.
Next 2 home games are a must 6 points if we have a chance of automatic, if Broadhead can’t start, it must be Edwards. So close to a perfect Easter but we dust ourselves down and go again
Having not seen too much of us over our winning run and having the scars of our poor run some weeks ago I thought that was still a pretty decent performance and so pleased to see the days of just passing side to side pointlessly at the back are behind us. I thought we were direct, played off the second ball pressed well against what was a very organised side in challenging conditions. My concern going into the game was Harness was in the team as everytime I've seen him apart from the first few games he's lost the ball and it was much the same today, we looked far better with the unlucky Edwards on the pitch. I do feel for Harness as he did look at decent player at the start of the season but hasn't played alot of minutes and for me isn't a no.10 where hes mainly played, he's a wide forward. He does seem to lose the ball alot but to be fair he works hard off it and takes up really good positions in the box and should've scored today. Other than that can't grumble too much, not a bad point and promotion is still in our hands. I still feel Sheff Weds and Plymouth are favourites, we have a tougher run in and logic dictates we were highly unlikely to continue the perfect run we were on forever. I think we can only afford to drop points in 1 more game if we're going to get the autos. My small grumble off today in addition to Harness being in the team over Edwards was the subs, didn't feel they really added anything to the game if anything we lost some momentum. Its been a bit of a weakness the past couple of seasons in those forward positions that we don't have many players who can slow the game down and take care of the ball which is what is needed sometimes.
