Did you watch the Sheff U - Bradford game the other night? Collins scored a penalty!

While we're on this topic, can you imagine our wonderful old stadium being abused like this and becoming a 'Sports Direct Arena', 'King Power' or 'KC Stadium'? I'd feel like never visiting the place again or at least feeling very ashamed of my club. Elland Road is the only place for us, as the song goes.

Too late, we already call it Bellend Road.

The bellend has been represented as a symbol of fertility and strength for thousands of years, so I'll take this as a compliment. You know virile fans when you see them. <ok>

Unlikely. We only have the KC because its a new stadium, Boothferry was always Boothferry, and honestly, theres zero chance of anyone wasting money building you a new **** hole to watch TWS in is there? Even less likely that anyone would want to associate themselves with Bellend Road through sponsorship either.

I thought it had been renamed the Skip Hire Stadium, I seem to remember a bloody enormous sign fronting the ring road a while back? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Although Skip Hire seems oddly appropriate...

Never let facts get in the way of blind hatred <ok>. And no one would build a new one, because the plan is to eventually extend and refurbish our brilliant, historic stadium.

I have no affiliation with Newcastle but it's sad to see one of the most famous ground names in the country being replaced with some sports company. Just when things seem to be going along nicely at Newcastle Mike Ashley goes and drops a clanger like this!

They could get a move on with it, most disappointing ground I've ever been to was Elland Road. Was expecting a nice ground and couldn't believe how soon after being in the PL the ground it had gotten as run down as it was when we came through on NYE a few years back. Still obviously better than a lot of grounds I've been to, but you expect the likes of Luton to have **** grounds before you even get there so you're not really expecting anything. Paying the prices you are the state of it must affect the number of people who return before they really get into following the club properly (we all had a first game some time).

So, you wont get a new stadium, you might get Bellend Rd "refurbished eventually" and you're not arguing with me over the fact, other than a skip company, noone would want to throw money at it for "naming rights"?

Don't confuse "blind hatred" with "contempt", two totally different emotions.

Why would anyone want to deal with Ken Bates? We could barely secure a shirt sponsor - then again, the same's true of Hull, isn't it?

While he's in charge, of course we're an unattractive sponsorship proposition, not that I'm complaining. I prefer football without the commercialism.
