The VAR **** didn't cost us though as we still won and Brighton lost a game they should have won, a good result for us considering how strong Brighton are, and also cos we all know Spurs are gonna go to **** and won't challenge us. Improvement only needed in first half and we totally changed and dominated on the second, play Isak and Wilson together for next game.
Seen it happening early in the season Palace at home for example.. The concern is they'll make sure newcastle or Brighton don't get 4th come May.
I'm trying to see if spurs have had anything go against them this season or just for them. Southampton's penalty at the end to draw 3-3 probably shouldn't have been given, it was like Bournemouth's second yesterday. Any others?
An alternative spin on the above, is thinking about what had to happen for Spurs to get victory - ie 3 of the worst VAR decisions you'll ever see, and even then, they ONLY JUST got the victory. Yeah Brighton are very good, but Spurs are bloody horrific.
Nepotism towards certain teams? I'm not sure about that as all the teams have had **** decisions by now. It's just something of a given that every game each week there's a VAR **** up and you have to hope it doesn't happen to you. It did to us this week - 2nd pen never a foul and Wilson's goal should have stood, was pretty huge that we managed to beat Brentford as well as VAR.
I do think Emery is a very smart manager. He will have worked out a way he thinks can beat us. I was impressed with Eddie being decisive with changes at the weekend though. Frank had us quite well worked out but Eddie out manoeuvred him in the end.
A win against Villa always gets some kind of bragging rights, cos their fans are ****s basically, the whole Ant & Dec ****e. Fast forward 14 years and things are exactly the same, quote from one of their forums
I think this game is a freebie. We have done amazing lately. So this is a free hit. We may be able to beat them and if we do it’s a bonus. Take a draw.
