As most are well aware I don’t have the same downer on marsch ball that most have, but it takes a while to get sides playing it effectively. Most would say he never got us playing it effectively. Either way, all he did to us last year was can the man marking and try and tighten things up.. he has even less time at Leicester to change anything. That’s two sides now who’ve sacked their manager and made marsch first choice - Southampton were a hassenhutl side so it made sense - it’s less clear with Leicester. I’m sure it’s a source of bewilderment to Leeds fans why any club would want him. Seems his reputation in the game may be higher than his reputation in the stands… or maybe because we stayed up with him last year he simply has ‘previous’ for other sides battling the drop.
I don't recall reading any articles saying this tbh. I know at his age, he has the time to blossom into a fine player, but he hasn't done anything to suggest anything special. In fact, I'd stay that Summerville is better.
Here we go then next lot of games starting. I don't mind playing tomorrow because we need to win regardless of the other results.
Could Marsch going to Leicester be a huge win for Leeds? Myunderstanding has always been that when a club sacks the manager it is forced to pay the sacked bloke the value of his contract. So for example if Marsch contract took him to 2025 he is due to be paid 2.5 times his annual salary? Now I am reading that Nagelsman is on gardening leave and Chelsea cannot employ him until they have negotiated with Bayern who are still paying his wages as a Bayern employee. I am also learning that this is usually the case and the sacked manager carries on having his wages paid into his bank on the same day every month…. Until he gets a new job….. so the question is will we stop paying Marsch now? Have Leicester done a deal with Leeds to take him. On this I am a bit lost, maybe it needs a painfree Aski to do the digging
Do you remember how Summerville looked when he first started playing for the 1st team ? Patience Timothy.
Just seen him in York, wondered what the big smile was on his face for. Did think about asking for a selfie but on balance I thought I'd rather spend the afternoon plucking my anal hair.
Ronnie Corbett was comedy gold!!! The difference is, Summerville cost £34m less than Rutter. I expect to see much better for the money that was spent on Rutter.
That’s how I think it works now. Instead of paying up his contract you pay his wages until he gets a new job. No compensation for us but we stop paying him.
