    Leeds Utd v Crystal Palace
    Sunday 9th April@14:00hrs | Elland Road

Crystal Palace will be without talisman Wilfred Saha, when they visit Elland Road at the weekend. The 30yo picked up a groin strain during their 2-1 win over Leicester City last weekend. Subsequent scans have revealed that he will be out of action for three to four weeks. This is welcome news for Leeds, as they search for their third consecutive home win against the Eagles since regaining promotion back in 2020.

In February 2021, goals from Harrison and Bamford were enough to give Bielsa's men a comfortable 2-0 victory over their South London foes, though nine months later, the game had to be decided by an injury time spot kick, when Gelhardt was fouled in the box. Raphinha stepped up, and coolly dispatched the penalty, much to the delight of 36,000 screaming fans.

Apart from Saha, the visitors have injury concerns over Christopher Richards and Nathan Ferguson; both of whom are carrying knocks. Late fitness tests will determine whether they make the trip to Leeds.

Leeds will be without Tyler Adams, Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas, but are keeping tight lipped over Max Wober, though it's fair to say that Pascal Struijk gave himself a fighting chance to be named in Sunday's line-up, with Captain Liam Cooper also pushing for a recall. After a poor performance midweek, Patrick Bamford risks being dropped in favour of Rodrigo. Wilfred Gnonto could return to the starting line up. The 19yo was an unused substitute for the Forest game.

With three wins, two losses and a draw, Leeds have moved up to 7th place in the form guide, eleven places above Sundays opponents; but with only two points separating themselves from the drop zone, they can't afford to be complacent.

    Tough game.

They have lots of individual talent but haven't played as a team this season. Woy Hodgson came in and last week they looked much more organised and completely dominated Leicester. Hopefully that was a one off and they go back to the disorganised ****show they've been since the world cup.

Let's face it, it's against us so I'd expect a decent Palace side to turn up. Zaha missing is great news but they still have the likes of Eze and Olise pulling the strings and those players tend to go well against our ponderous defence.

We really need the 3 points given our upcoming fixtures in May but this will be close. I think we'll get something from this but we'll have to defend well to win it and our forwards still look unsure when a shooting opportunity presents itself. We might need a bit of good fortune to get the three points.

Lost their Talisman in Zaha which is a massive boost for us. They played well against Leicester but let's face Leicester are very much on the brink of going down. We have every chance of getting back to back wins here which will boost our chances of survival big time. Nothing is easy in the Prem but out of the next 5 this is a game we have to look for the 3 points in. Liverpool, Leicester,Bournemouth,Fulham we have to be looking for 3 wins from these 5. Get that and I think the table will be looking must healthier for us in the remaining run in.

4-0 win Leeds nowt else to say really. Viera is a giant compared to Woy and very quickly Parish will realise what he’s done…

Have we had back to back league wins this season. A win would be great and would see us climb to 12th

May fixtures and it's the doomsday scenario well I don't believe that's so much of a case, nobody looks to have that much of an easy run in if you scrutinize them and the pressure mounts for all with each passing game...beat woys eagles(hopefully) and I'm pretty confident of doing arkles Scouse to boot... anyway off to Espana on Sunday morning and hoping to catch second half of game, let's start my hols off on a great start plllllllease <cheers>

Even under Hodgson last time they couldn’t win a game without Zaha. Any type of win will do.

Whenever I feel confident about beating a side, we seem to lose. But I do feel home advantage, them missing zaha and the players confidence after our last win should get us that win. I also like the way our manager approaches each match.<ok>

It's not really doomsday for me but it's pretty easy to see that April's fixtures are far easier than May's. The closer we get to 40 points this month, the easier it is for us to survive.

We only have ourselves to blame if we don't win this one. Things (for once) seem to be going in our favour. This would be a huge win if we could get over the line.

Anyone not wanting Ayling to start tomorrow?. I can't make my mind up as rasmus is no world beater either.

I get the feeling that Ayling is the leader and main communicator in that back line. Meslier, Firpo, Struijk and Koch don't seem to be very good organisers or very vocal. They are all too passive. Therefore Ayling has to play in the absence of Wober or Cooper. If either of those two start then I'm happy to give Kristensen a go. I don't think there's much between them to be honest.

The real interesting question regarding our right back spot is how good Dramah is in a back 4. Its clear and obvious that he excels as a wing back next to a back 3. Can he do it in a back 4?

My problem with dramah regardless of his potential ability is his physical size. To me he is just not big enough to play at prem level.

Sky sports saying Sam Greenwood has withdrawn from the England team to play Australia.
Didn't know he had been picked for the girls team.
