Burn out! Yes the defence is doing well but I'd argue that's despite of him rather than him being an integral cog. Botman has to cover his side a hell of a lot. Give Targett a go. He was doing well before his injury. Burn does not play LB, consistently, for a team in the top 10. We are trying for top 4!!
A team does not win anything playing 11 Messi’s. A team is a mix of everything, talent, flair, effort, running, passing, aggression etc. It’s how the ‘mix’ is which dictates how successful or not a team is. At the top level there are thin margins between success and failure. For me Burn is not a left back. I can see him being replaced but not for a while. He’s part of the ‘mix’ and the ‘mix’ is working. There are others I would look to replace or get before Burn.
Doesn't mean it can't be improved. He's a clear and obvious weak link. He gets targeted all the time and provides no support to ASM. He's a good CB and I'd keep him there, as back up.
I don't agree tbh I've not seen many players get the better out of him ...bowen rinsed him but Burn was winning headers left right and centre.
Mate, he's useless. I've seen him fumble simple passes. Feel free to defend him but his performances are indefensible for me
