Owned by Saudi Arabian Government, run from London. Won't be long before the training ground is in Kent. The mags will claim the glory that comes with the inevitable cup or even league wins, but they are no more than a Franchise FC now - even though the owners will insist on the occasional token "Jordee" in the squad, the club will have zero ties to the North East before long
Would be a good vote winner for someone like the Lib Dems to say they will make the Saudi's sell and then appoint an independent regulator so it can't happen again. It's the same old story. 1) Corruption Happens 2) Everyone involved denies it. 3) some time passes. 4) Evidence of corruption starts to emerge. 5) Corrupt parties play it down arguing it was ages ago/change the facts again/accusing others of jealousy/politics etc. and it's no longer a relevant news story.
If you want to see England win a world cup it's going to be with the lasses. Just scored a cracking goal v Brazil. Very decent to watch.
The hilarity of the article is the mag fans saying how good the investigative journalism was by the athletic… until they started investigating them!!!!
Burnley promoted if they win at Boro tonight . Should be a good game with Boro also wanting the points
Watching Millwall v Luton - absolute disgrace of a game. Neither team trying to play football, more interested in time wasting and winning free kicks. I'd hate to have to watch this every week
Blackburn 0-1 Norwich best score i reckon for us, watford 1-1 Huddersfield another, Coventry drawing Cardiff 3-0 up though !
