To all those clickbait journos speculation that Gnonto will be leaving: Leeds United “100% trust” Wilfried Gnonto for “present and future” amid speculation linking him with an exit from Elland Road, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Izzy Brown has been forced to retire at 26yo due to consistent injuries. The latest has been back to back Achilles ruptures needing surgery. He played twice for our first team and let Bielsa down big time because he was one of his first signings, but failed to live up to his promise.

So Jack Harrison has signed a new 5 year contract.if he can guarantee performances like the other night, brilliant. Lets hope that he doesn’t sign his big contract and perform like Bamford did when he got his pay rise. The winker hasn’t had a decent game since and has spent almost 18 months out injured.

Chelsea are now a laughing stock. Lampard is going to do what? They would have been better keeping Potter to the end of the season. Nagelsman wants to start in the summer and have no responsibility for the mess. They have also contacted Jose’ again and offering him the gig for the third time. A joke. When Arsenal took Arteta at least they stuck with him and look where they are now.

This part of the post is more contentious simply because of the upheaval we will see in the summer around strikers. Lets assume we stay in the prem and let’s also assume Javi is our head coach for pre season:

    1. Bamford
    2. Rodrigo
    3. Georginio
    4. Gelhardt
    5. Joseph

I have only mentioned players who can play as a 9 so not included Gnonto or Sinisterra but should also discount Gelhardt as its now obvious he can’t play up top on his own. He needs to come from out wide or deeper and can’t play as a target man. For me maybe it’s time we cashed in on Bamford and brought in a real goalscorer and it may also be time to get some cash back for Rodrigo. I am also Rodrigo’s biggest fan on here, so….. Georginio needs given his head and include Joseph in the first team set up. Lets also not forget we have Sonny Perkins…

As I've said before Bamford & Rodrigo are proven PL goalscorers, so until we see proof that we've signed someone bettter they stay for me. Also for what it's worth goalscoring is a team function and between all the wingers and strikers we have better than most.

Paddy is slowly getting his mojo back by the way and fans forget he was out for a long long time.

Jammy Paddyhasnt had his mojo since the season before last mate. Fans are tough on players and Bamford has a lot to answer for because he gave us nothing last season and his lack of game time and goals was the main problem we were almost relegated. Bielsa relied on him and then Marsch too and he never turned up. So I for one will take convincing that hes our best option as a striker. Amazing really that players seem to get a free pass because they can’t be sacked unlike 2 managers at Leeds because of a lack of goals?

How many teams in pl would Bamford get a starting slot with? Not many I suspect

Of course Paddy hasn't contibuted for the last 2 seasons as he's been injured.

No free pass just can't play when you're not fit that's all.

Just managed to play a nearly full game for the first time in years since so let's see how he goes in the coming weeks.

    As it stands you're correct.

However give the lad chance to get fully match fit before passing final judgement <ok>

Leicester actually need someone like Jesse.

The best chance they have is to get after teams and hope their flair players win them enough matches. Plus I've looked at their fixtures and I'd say they have a decent chance of staying up but need a win asap.

There’s only so much time you can afford to give when you don’t have an abundance of strikers and we don’t

    No you haven't.

Fair enough if you're judging him on his fitness record but I thought we were debating ability as a striker and what he brings to the team as a whole. The sensible thing to do is give Paddy a full pre season and then see where he's at come next January.

So you're saying he's crap but yet we've really missed him ?

No need to spend £40M+ on a stiker when maybe he's right under your nose.

We have no choice because some silly khunt gave him a stupidly long contract on more money. He had one fairly decent season at a decent level.

Leicester, like Southampton, are finally paying the price of selling off you best finds / players in the hope of replacing them with the next great find. We would be well to be mindful of this as Radz has often spoken of following the Leicester “model”. We all know every club has hit and miss signings so if you keep selling your quality you can only go one way eventually.

That's fair comment but he might well have had 2 more if not for his injury woes.

We're so much better when he's in the team, however not when he's only fit enough for half a game. Paddy is that rare thing of being a proper workhorse but with a touch of class and you only get the real Bamford when he's fit enough to put in all the hard yards.

And the other thing that sticks in my mind is that was behind closed doors. I think the pressure of the crowd affects his composure in front of goal.

Watched Bamford fluff his lines too many times this season. Waits too long getting the ball onto his left so tackled, misses the ball completely when it just needed a touch into an empty net, tries the lift ball over diving keepers in one on one moments and fails every time. One footed striker is worthless when his one good foot doesn’t work….. he has a lot of goals to score this season to repay fans faith in him
