And look at Murphy. Proud as punch for him. He’s totally turned things around to actually being a first team starter in a top 3 side. WOW!
I've had too good an evening to bite - was invited to my West Ham supporting mates pub to watch the game with him and other WH fans ....
Yeah, I've been highly critical of Murphy, but recently he has shown why he deserves a chance in team that is doing very well. Tonight he cpuld easily have gone for goal himself (and we know he's desperate to score), but instead he squared it to give Wilson and open goal. So credit where it's due, he has come good. I wrote him off, but he's doing well. Fair play to him. If he could now add a bit of finishing to his game to get in with the goals then he could be a very good player.
Not sure I can read too much into that tbh, we were good but West Ham were feckin awful, this ain't a real test
Our last 4 league games: Goals scored = 11 Goals conceded = 3 Shots for = 71 On target = 26 Shots against = 25 On target = 10 Yellow cards = 3 Opposition yellow cards = 9 Yep, that's right, what an absolute bunch of utter time-wasting, ****-housery, 'spoilers' we must be. No wonder the big 6 don't like us ruining their beautiful game. We should be ashamed of the way we play. Now then... can all those lazy journo twats and thick-as-pigshit TV pundits who can't think for themselves, all just fook off and stop regurgitating the absolute ****e that the crying 6 want everyone to think about us. They simply don't like that we are competing with them. Deal with it, it's just the beginning. Rant over.
I have to agree with TA1892's reaction here. I mean surely it was his bedtime before the game even kicked off?
Going forward, West Ham gave us more trouble than Man U had done. Bowen was a threat as Paqueta and Rice are clearly good players, and at 2-1 I thought that there were more goals in the game. At the back West Ham were shocking and just didn't perform. At times some of our passing wasn't the best, but then some of it was absolutely superb. Two assists from Bruno with some particularly classy finishing from Joelinton and Isak. Wilson bang in the right places to grab a brace also. Howe's choice to start with Wilson and Joelinton was obviously spot on. Three strong substitutions later on looked to me that it's a clear sign of our progress this season. I'm buzzing.
