A step down from Shrewsbury for David Davis !!! http://www.ictfc.co.uk/articles/20110831/wolf-at-the-door_2208825_2437286
Ryan Lowe moves to Sheffield Wednesday on a two year deal. Is that a step up? Bigger club fan base wise but not currently position wise.
I see Dave Edwards has just made a comeback from long term injury. He would make a good signing to aid his recovery when the loan window re-opens shortly.
I'm about to take GCSEs later this year. I'm at the boarding school by Kingsland (my 3rd year now after leaving Welshpool High) and can honestly say supporting TOwn is the best thing that's come out of the whole experience. Obadeyi at Chesterfield til Decemeber, on loan.
leslie to carry on at hereford for another month after scoring 2 in 6 for a team in the bottom 6!!!!!
Blimey Manfeelings you found an old post there! Do you take a Design Technology subject? Or did you do it in lower school there? If so, was there a technician called Mr Edwards still there, a tall very softly spoken man in his later years?
That's an ambiguous statement. Does that mean your life's miserable and even the pain of supporting Town is a ray of sunshine in the gloom? Or that everything's fine and topped off by the joy of supporting Town? I hope very much it's the latter but you've already depressed me by being slightly younger than my kids. Did you start supporting Town when you changed school?
I think my life's been OK so far I'd just been to a BBQ at my mates before I went back off to school last year(September) and he said he was going to say Rotherham vs us on Sat 4th, the day I was due to be back at school(9pm). Since I had nothing to do, I came along and was thrilled by the swanky stadium (and a large crowd) Hakan Duyan was taking shots against Chris Neal (we got autographs) and we were delighted by Ainsworth tapping home no sooner had the whistle gone (actually the 4th minute). After that we clung on, but I was hooked. Since then my greatest regret is not seeing the old Gay Meadow. A guy at school used to go all the time.
Glad (and relieved) to hear that! The last season at Gay Meadow was the first where I saw almost every home game. Loved it, full of character and I could feel the memories even if I couldn't share many of them. I understand the sense of loss when a club moves. Don't get me started on the crumbling terraces and leaky gutters of Naughton Park, Widnes - and the team still plays there, they just rebuilt it! But fans have selective memories and the times when the crowd was tiny and the atmosphere was flat get pushed to the back. And the pitch was a horror, resulting in frequently dreadful football as it often made sense to keep the ball in the air. It was time to move on.
Not content with leaving UNderhill at the end of his short-term contract Exodus Geohaghon has moved to Darlo then back to Dag and Red on loan from there.
congratulations to gary hackett, ex shrews and manager of stourbridge town in their 2-0 win in front of a capacity crowd of 2345 against plymouth, their ground is so small it could not accomodate argyles coach and the lovies had to walk. good luck to garry and stourbridge in the next round against stevenage
