Was such an odd outburst. I mean, he tried to play it off by saying it was a post by someone else off facebook, which may or may not have been true, but either way, they just hired the ****ing stadium out to people who wanted a venue to hold an event. Who gives a **** that it was a muslim event? Its a free ****ing country.
I don't know what he was expecting tbh. Like everyone would be outraged by it or something? What's the problem ffs. Greenwood's hiring out Old Trafford for his wedding
He seemed to equate us hiring out the Bridge to host a muslim festival as Chelsea endorsing ISIS and middle eastern terrorism, saying that Islam is against Western society. Taken word for word, a lot of the Quran doesnt mesh with contemporary western society, but neither does the bible, if you take literally. Yes Muslim nations are far more conservative than your average Christian nation, but I know dozens of westernised Muslims, like our boy Spurlock for instance. I am sure he doesnt wish us all dead...well he might, but not because of Islam, but because he is a bitter Spurs fan
We have to break the fast at a certain time... almost on the dot. That's why I said I'd be happy to just run to the side and have a quick sip of something There's a big clock in most stadiums so I don't see the issue...it's as easy as running to the side to get a few instructions off the gaffer. Very easily done
It's not an issue. Water breaks get taken for loads of different reasons, it don't take more than a minute, we're humans we need water. I've always got a bottle of water with me. Like you say very easily done.
Guys been out of control lately. Seems to have settled down today though. Let’s hope he keeps it this way.
I didn’t notice anyone having a break for Ramadan in Chelsea game……..if the lads locally had the same opportunity during a game around here they would squeeze in two pints and a hotdog…….fuss over nothing init
The game didn't start until 8pm - IFTAR would have been around 7.40pm I do remember them having a water break though, and the commentator mentioning Ramadan.
tbh game was on in the background…was out with mates having a social smoke so chatting more than watching
Thoughts and prayers with brothers Spurly and Jakarta as they persevere with their fast ... and also with brother Aber and his constant struggle with the real world beyond mushrooms and sheep dip ... and last, but not least, with brother Welshie in his attempt to convert from being a feckless gobshite with less substance than a spray of phlegm spittle in the face of the thunderstorm to a poster with relevance and respect ...
the good old sheep and the Welsh slant…..lucky your not so boxed in with your perception fosse init God is watching you
