Been out at work since, 06:10, played six aside (beat a team of Germans 13-9) and just got in and sat down so I probably won't read all seven pages <ok>

So it may have been said, but The Hurricane with Denzel Washington is amazing.

    This thread needs revamping.

    Gummo
    La Haine
    City of God
    Man bites dog
    400 blows
    Breathless
    Le Fantôme de la liberté
    Hidden
    Akira
    The Vanishing
    The Outsiders
    Room for Romeo Brass
    Pi
    Most Hitchcock films
    Tina goes shopping
    Scanner Darkly
The film I'm making at the minute (out next year)

A selfish reason for bumping but I'm looking for something good to watch this afternoon. Preferably indie films (indie as in the true sense of the word, not that Garden State ****e, or any Wes Anderson movie. Okay we get it Wes, you're cool. Now can you make a good movie for once?) or something foreign.

Interesting, you make films? I've been making an animated short for a few months but keep getting distracted by doing other things.

    Y Tu Mama Tambien!!!

Mexican coming of age film...Really funny and some amazing camera work and direction!

You've mentioned A Room for Romeo Brass, personally I think Dead Mans Shoes is better.

Also, not particularly indie, but I was surprisingly impressed by 'Young People ****ing' ... Quite obvious in places but still very funny.
