Well if Paul O'Keefe said it, it must be true

Just like his predicted starting lineups...

You should have secured a new manager before sacking Conte, you are now up against Leicester and Chelsea in the race for a replacement.

    (Unless you go after Potter)

And people suggest we're a poor sell for prospective managers

"So you'll be coming in to try and steer the club out the relegation zone, and if you're successful a chunk of the squad will be leaving on free transfers at the end of the season no matter what happens while another chunk will be entering the final year of their contracts..."

Somehow they're a worse sell than Everton

Pondering point 3 of the areas that may direct the way forward,
    ( https://www.not606.com/threads/the-way-forward-for-thfc.405612/#post-16544126 )
I revisited (from mid 1970s to now - my Spurs "living memory" ) , every :

    1. league campaign that Spurs had a strong showing
2 cup final that Spurs reached

and I note that in nearly all of those seasons, the league
performances were either filled with good attacking
football, and for those that were not, the cup runs
    themselves were.

This further reinforces my belief that the manager
must at the minimum be attack-minded in their approach,

    We're up against Chelsea only.

Leicester are an irrelevant nuisance with no money and three dozen attacking midfielders.

    Also some team from Madrid

A team from Madrid who could certainly throw a spanner in the works for prospective moves for Nagelsmann or Poch

Genuinely don't get why Real would be looking at Pochettino.

He didn't do too well in France (an easier league) and seemed to have difficulty coping with the massive egos a PSG.
Spain is a harder league, with more decent teams and Real have a **** load of egos.

I don’t think it’s a good fit for him or Nagelsmann tbh. They’re in a tricky spot for their next manager.

Real could actually be a decent fit for Poch, they’ve signed a few young players of late to replace the old guard and Poch tends to work best with young players. Though that’s assuming Madrid are looking at a phased rebuild and not just expecting immediate success with the new guard.

Vini Jr, Camavinga, Tchouameni plus they’ll have Endrick in a year or so. Valverde would probably shine in a Poch-based system too. Add in some more exciting young signings alongside some of the current established ones that aren’t on their way out and it could be a role well suited to Poch (and Nagelsmann).

Lot of ifs though I suppose.

They are big IFs. Real have a lot of good young players and if the brief is to rebuild while phasing out the older, Zidane-era players then it’s a fit as long as the coach is allowed to do that. Real Madrid is a goldfish bowl though and I’d question the patience of the club and the fans to go through a couple of fallow seasons for a rebuild.

This is the main reason that the Los Ladrones job could be a bad fit not just for Poch, but for any manager who doesn't score at least 32 on the psychopath test

This is a club whose fans showed up to the unveiling of Eden Hazard to boo him for the crime of not being Kylian Mbappe, after all

On paper, Luis Enrique is probably the best match for Real although the chance of that happening is equal to that of us keeping a clean sheet in every game for the rest of the season.

Managed Barca and, as a player, left Los Ladrones for Barca

No way will their fanbase accept that

Very good read…very hard to argue with any of that…

One has to wonder who if anyone is asking Levy what qualifies him to be doing this job.

Who is he accountable to? no show Joe? I bet he couldn’t name our starting line up in the last game so forget him

    absolute shambles
