It just suggests there's no plan, to me. Try everything until something vaguely sticks. Or maybe the accounts are so bad that we need promotion next year or **** hits the fan
Well there’s always a plan I imagine Gibson at boro thought wilder was a great plan as all of us did and it didn’t work I doubt anyone on here thought carrick was the answer ?? Look how it turned out Coulda been a disaster Who’s to say they miss out via the play offs and next season carrick is sacked after ten poor games? Then the next plan is…
Out of interest we did score goals in Jan, 8 of them. Then Tetteh got sent off and missed 3 games. Is it coincidence that we seem to do well when he plays . I'm sure Oscar thinks so. Fwiw I think LR's been playing with a duff hand half the season and deserves more time.
While I agree that the football isn't the most exciting, we could have Pep in charge and this side wouldn't be a top 6 championship side
With a couple of half decent centre mids, one a quarter back type, a target man and perhaps a right side wing back City will be right up there next season in playoff contention, with or without Rosie, though I'd expect the likes of Southampton and Lester and whoever to make a swift return.
You don’t get much more of a quarter back than Seri? We also need a left back much more than a right back.. Christie will be back for next season
Christie's talking to Burney on Sportstalk now. Definitely not going to be back this season, there was a bit more damage than expected, but should have no problem being back for pre-season.
I think thats bang on, Leicester and Southampton have seasons worth of banked assets and Parachute payments... Southampton will bank £70 million for Ward Prowse alone... Leicester will sell Maddidon for a similar amount. Imagine if Everton came down, Palace, where;'s the REAL hope of promotion then.
Cyrus said the pitches weren't that good at City, both training and match pitches. He said other clubs have better pitches. Could explain the injuries.
If he's going, he should be told after the final whistle on the final day of the season, not before, and not after. We need stability, whether that's with Rosie or not. Personally, I think he needs to be backed during the summer and given until Autumn. If we're still playing the same dross, then's the time to pull the trigger.
I guarantee one thing (maybe)... come Friday night, the hand brake will be off and 6th gear selected...!!
Tbf, we have 2 that don't get a look in. The excuse for Greaves at LB was that he added height when playing against a team with tall strikers. Rotherham offered next to no threat (not that we did either). Saturday was crying out for Elder or Fleming (yep, I know he's out on loan). A LB who would push on, overlap, add some attacking threat, etc. But he sticks with out of position Greaves. Not saying either are world beaters, they aren't, but they are decent LB's for where we are now. Just one part of Rosenior not getting the best out of what he's currently got (or should have) available.
Sunderland (A) Millwall (H) Blackburn (A) I just get the feeling the team will be set up to draw these games, no point changing tactics this late in the season unless they go a goal behind. Zero points, not a sausage, bugger all from these three will mean goodbye yellow brick road for sure.
