It's a reasoned,we'll constructed post,I take it on board because it's an honest opinion and opinions never lie...

I don't think Liam Rosenior has done as well as expected but I think it fair to allow him to spend some money in moulding the Team with his own ideas. If he then fails then it's fair to assume he'll be history.

I think this whole post is spot on but the bit about the goals for and against pre and post Rosenior is particularly black and white isn't it? We're miles better off now.

A concern for me is that Malcolm is Rosie's man.

Let's be honest with ourselves. What a dog ****e move that has turned out to be.

Sure he has some ability but his attitude stinks. Looks like he's in a constant sulk. When he beats a man and fashions an opening he has an uncanny ability to turn it into a dead end.

In the dying minutes on Saturday when we're chasing the game. He goes down like he has a serious injury. Kills a bit of time and momentum. Nex time he gets the ball there was no ill effects shown at all. Baffling.

And that free kick was embarrassing.

For what he's offered we'd have been better off keeping sinik and saying you've got the rest of the season to prove you're up to it.

True. He's an example of someone that's given his head a bit of a shake and is working for it now.

Malcolm looks miles off that. So I suppose the concern is Rosie being stubborn by sticking with him. It doesn't really benefit us cos he's not our player.

Ok so what should we have done differently there?

Maybe you could say Longman could whip a ball in first time, there's barely anyone in there but maybe there's a small chance of Allahyar getting to it. On the other hand if he does that the chances are it gets hoofed clear because it's really not much of an opening. Beyond that, it's a series of unquestionable decisions. Rotherham press us as they should and force us backwards; that does happen in real life! You can't always have a clear path forwards to goal.

In terms of the quality, Traore plays a poor pass at one point which turns Ebiowei and gives Rotherham even more impetus to get tighter to him and push him further from goal and then Ebiowei does the same thing with his pass to Seri, so there are technical errors which didn't help, but I suspect that's not what you're trying to highlight from the video. If you're suggesting it shows a deliberate Rosenior tactic of not wanting to score but to go backwards instead then that's just silly. This kind of sequence happens multiple times at every football match.

I think people are tying goals to wins (which is completely understandable). In the 20 games he's been in charge, we've only failed to score six times, and of those games we only actually lost two of them.

When Liam came in he was tasked with improving the defence. Well, we can check that off, he's done that.

Has he kept us out of a proper relegation battle? Yes, so check that off.

Have we played entertaining football? For the most part, we are good at keeping the ball and drawing the opposition out. Credit to him for getting that system into the players in less than half a season. I'd say that's ongoing, but at least now the core of the squad know the playing system and any new additions can be targeted in terms of already being able to play like that, as opposed to the start of his tenure where he had to teach everybody this new way from scratch.

What Liam's style has revealed is that we have players who can play like that and players that cannot, for varying reasons. It's pretty obvious which ones he thinks will fit the bill as they're the ones currently playing and in the squad. Elder, Doc, Woods, Figs, Tyler Smith and Brandon Fleming, along with about ten U21s will all be cleared out in the Summer to make way for better players. Harsh on some, but that's football.
