My lad went to West Brom yesterday to watch Cresswell and Shackleton. He said Cresswell was very average, any little touch from an Albion player and he was on his arse, really disappointed. Shackleton came on before Cresswell went off, he made one really good interception and gave the ball away twice. Said it was no surprise Cresswell kept going over, the whole Millwall team were doing it all game and the ref kept falling for it.
Funny old game….. imagine a world where Nagelsman takes over from Potter would anyone want Potter or Rodgers at Leeds?
Potter yes, Rodgers no, think the blokes an arse, always seems to do well for a couple of years then it goes all haywire
Well Potter was my choice before we appointed Bielsa, and I still rate him and think he would be ideal for us. Rodgers I don't like however I still wouldn't say no to him.
Know exactly what you mean and Gessa is right too because he has a couple of great seasons and then it’s like his players get bored of him. Leicester have some great players, better than our squad in fact but have struggled all season. Have a feeling that Potter and Rodgers will walk into jobs
I would think both of them would be able to take us to the next level, of mid table safety without us worrying about the drop. Potters slightly more difficult to assess long term, as other than first initial managerial job with Ostersund, he hasn't stayed at clubs long enough to see if he can initially improve them, and then improve them further. Brighton have kicked on since he left, so maybe he had reached his limit there. Rodgers I think would be fine for 2 or 3 seasons, think the Leicester job is the longest he has been appointed. Whether their failure this year is down to him, the board or a mixture of both, I'm not qualified to say, but a 9th place finish, followed by 2 5th place finishes and an FA Cup win, is not a bad record to have on your CV, albeit it that CV will be slightly spoilt by how this season has panned out
100% correct mate. The cash thing happened late last season and now gone into massive debt with the parent company unable to cover their losses like happened before the copter crash. Due to the pandemic the parent company didn’t make the expected revenues as its all based upon aeroplanes and flights along with aeroplane leasing and service contracts. Think Rodgers started sulking last summer and has sulked all season and don’t think Jack Harrison helped matters in January… still very wealthy owners though
Lets hope the 49ers start talking to them both. Imagine if they had been sacked at the time we got rid of Marsch… Nagelsman or Pochetino for Chelsea maybe. Potter could be going to Leicester maybe? Fook me what a season it must be a record for sackings in the prem
I really don't get the hype around potter, Brighton are doing better without him and he's just proved he can't handle a big club with a very good quality squad.
