I don't think Nagelsmann will be an option for much longer, think Potter will be out at Chelsea if they don't beat Liverpool on Wednesday. Quite a lot in the media today about Boehly meeting with Potter and suggesting that the end is nigh. Also some reports that Levy has told Poch that we don't want him back at the moment, though as the other options distance themselves from the job, he may yet become a viable choice again.
Potter should tell his squad that if they do not bear the Poool then Spurs will automatically qualify for the CL next season.
Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has told former manager Mauricio Pochettino he does not want the Argentine to return to the club during talks over a potential return. (Star) Makes sense Baldy won’t admit that he messed up and appointing Poch would be an admission to that
Tottenham and PSG have been offered the opportunity to sign Spain defender Aymeric Laporte, 28, from Manchester City. (90min)
Florian Plettenberg says that Nagelsmann is not an option for us as he's on the Chelsea shortlist Let's see... 1.) What a remarkably binary way of looking at things: somebody is on the shortlist of Club A, so Clubs B, C, D & E should give up? If anything this makes it clear Nagelsmann is an option for us 2.) Plettenberg is the guy who was adamant that Harry Kane would be a Bayern player this season 3.) Even though things are a little DumpsterFire.gif at Spurs at the moment, are Chelsea as attractive a proposition as Plettenberg assumes they are considering their chairman is signing players left and right and expecting the manager to make good use of them in spite the squad being more bloated than Mr Creosote?
Except that is patently untrue on a number of levels...which is what can be expected of the Star, admittedly How untrue? Literally getting the story back-to-front untrue, as reports are suggesting Poch has rejected our approach as he's expecting a call from Los Ladrones
Starting with the fact sthat Kings Rd FC : 1. revenues at last measure was only 30m greater than Spurs 2. are highly unlikely to be in UEFA land next season 3. would have dumped two managers within one season then what motivations other than huge money (wage/severance pay) are there for Nagelsmann to go there ??
Some bloke in Germany said that, as he's on their shortlist, every other club on earth will not bother making him an offer Even though they're currently tanking the ref of an young and upcoming manager almost as fast as they did with Villas-Boas
I’d be surprised. His agent and Levy apparently don’t get along (same agent as Potter and there were always rumours that we couldn’t get him either for that reason) and he slagged off the club for short term strategy and firing managers too easily when he was Liverpool manager. All in all, thankfully, I think it’s a long shot.
A shame nobody at the club mentioned the minor detail about him spending £100m+ at Liverpool and not winning the league...
I clearly don't like Rodgers, but they kind of stitched him up due to FFP. Sold Fofana to Chelsea for £70m+, let Schmeichel leave for free and bought nobody. All of their best players appear to want out and they've somewhat understandably been ****. No sympathy for the useless ****s though, as they've only turned up against us. Hope they get relegated.
Add to that they're potentially boned on players seeing out their contracts Tielemans, Soyuncu and Amarty this summer Madison, Ndidi and Iheanacho next summer Something has to be going on behind the scenes that's causing so many key players to all be running down their contracts at the same time, because even Bayern can't tap up so many players in the same league that fast
The good players know they won’t be playing Championship football next season even if Leicester go down. The trajectory of the club hasn’t been promising for a few seasons. Why sign a new contract and lock yourself in if you’re not certain and will likely have plenty of options?
