I don’t think the problem is our centre halves. Neither was it the full backs. Both wingers, I’m afraid though, are vastly overrated. Ebiowei dawdles and seems to wait until two players are on him before trying to do anything, and Sayyadmanesh isn’t a winger. Meanwhile the midfielder who might actually run at defenders and get a shot away, Docherty, moulders away on the bench.

    Dear Rosie
For starters, for next season can you pester the owner for two decent centre mids and a target man. Someone in the Ashley Barnes mould. We have no one who can hold the ball up and bring players into the game.

Pretty dire. A nil-nil bore draw, with Coyle, a defender, being pick of the bunch for getting us up the pitch! Says it all really. For the most part, too slow and pedestrian, I’ve seen quicker walking football. They were really there for the taking, if we’d played in the first half, with the urgency and attitude shown in the last 10 mins, it would have been a different game, a mauling.

Stand outs for me, Coyle, and Ozan when he came on, at least he was always looking forward and driving us up the pitch. Have to say Longman was unlucky to be hooked, he wasn’t the worst. Malcolm, looked clueless again, little boy lost. Couldn’t understand why the free kick/penalty shout was taken by him, had the least quality. Credit to Rosie for shoring up the defence, he has his work cut out on the offensive work. Play like that against Sunderland & Midd’boro, I would fear the worst. Very frustrating, and wet, afternoon. UTT.

Awful performance, I wasn't sure Rosie was the answer when we appointed him and I'm less and less convinced the more games that go by. I just don't think he's good & experienced enough to take a team out the championship yet ( he may well be one day ).

A good manager grinds out results, motivates his team, reacts to what he's seeing when it isn't working ( yes he has a couple of times I know ), creates a winning mentality ( ours seems to be a do not lose one ) and I just don't see enough of all of those from him.

One win in nine is awful form and if I was acun, I'd be seriously questioning if i/the club can afford to take the gamble of backing him with millions in the summer.

I can see Docherty walking at the end of the season.Bags of energy and gives his all, looks like Rosenior doesn't have him in the plans but other Clubs will bring the best out in him.

Sad to see,I think he's pretty decent!

As much as i like rosie as an ex player and genuinely good guy....his style of play is awful...if we hope to push on next season I'm afraid rosie is not our man sadly....i really want him to be up there with Taylor, brownie n bruce....but just can't see it unfortunately

So averaging approx 13/14 wins a season.... Not going to push us into the Prem is it or even real contention.

If he wasn't a well liked ex player with links to the city, would people be happy with his tenure and think he was the man to make us challenge?

I agree with this post. Another day we win comfortably 2-0 though. I’m not sure if it’s how he’s coached them but he certainly has removed any form of risk from the players games. Allahyar vs 36 year old Peltier and we tried him in behind once, and Peltier fouled him and was booked… beyond me what the analysis team/rosie are watching before and then deciding that’s the best way to break down a team full of meat heads who couldn’t believe their look when we attacked like that for 90 minutes. Played entirely to their defences strengths… Last paragraph certainly presents a problem, because no one is being entertained at present. Only hope is that they’re coasting…

Trouble is if they are coasting, that brings into question either Rosie's man-management abilities or his general situational awareness surely? It is slightly worrying at the moment.

Hull head coach Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"We should have won the game. We should have taken our chances and they didn't have a shot on our goal.

"It's really frustrating at the moment. We are dominating games, creating clear-cut chances - and we're missing them.

"There were so many times when we got in and the final ball just wasn't good enough.

"We had enough quality on the pitch to finish off those chances and we have to find a way of being more ruthless as a team. That's something I will address in the coming games and in the summer as well."

Rotherham manager Matt Taylor told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I thought we kept them at arm's length for the majority of it. Viktor's made one save in the first half and we didn't quite make the most of our attacking opportunities, but that's not me being disappointed with the performance in any way.

"When you do go down to 10 men, it's important you get something to show for your efforts, with bodies on the line and resilience.

"Actually Domingos Quina took our attacking set-piece, so it showed he was thinking the right thing in terms of his recovery run - he had to try and make the block.

"The referee's made the right decision because it is outside the box and the red card is the right decision as well."

In summary: cold damp and dismal & the weather wasn't much better....

It's obvious their coasting and the worrying thing is they are being allowed to. Rosie is allowing things to be to comfortable for them and a top manager/coach wouldn't and would demand higher standards.

Another key point in your post is the "another day we win comfortably 2-0" we seem to be saying that way to often. When does it stop being "another day" and start to become "we just aren't good enough"

Not the best game by a long way but it did make me realise how I've missed live football and hope many of the returning others feel the same
