We have a divine right to beat teams like Rotherham and finish in the play offs so no it’s not acceptable.
Hang on,it was you that said there was nothing to play for? But in answer to your question,it's not so much passion we're lacking, although at times there's a certain lethargy. In terms of skill and putting the ball in the net we're well off the top 6 in this division. He might've shored up the defence but we're lacking the cut, thrust and pace to progress up the table.
Nothing to play for? Getting the team well drilled? So many good chances? (1 shot on target) **** me.
Other teams below us have tough games to come too, I won't predict where we'll finish, no point. Nobody ever expected miracles this season, it was always about the next. It's always good to finish a bit higher than you do but it really doesn't make that much difference does it? What matters to me is how the club is looking for next season. I'm optimistic we've got the bones of a squad that can realistically compete.
Macca and Jones are really not up to it, like having Windows 95 on your work computer and trying to run AutoCAD…
It's a 'funny' one. Defensively they have become extremely solid ..... but I agree with you in terms of playing out from the back.
yeah can’t knock the simple stuff but my word it comes to them and they just sit on the ball for ****ing ages till it goes back to Darlow. Not good enough.
And another point on the Greaves at left back, most our possession and forwards moves came down our left side, nearly all our dangerous ones came down our right side. This style of play really relies on having good, attacking full backs and it showed today how we have struggled with that all season. He just doesn’t have that attacking drive and flair, he doesn’t drive at players or into the box, he hangs back far too often and usually just hits a hopeful cross as soon as the ball arrives to him in a forward position. He could be an absolutely class centre half specially in this possession based game. I really think we are wasting a year of his development playing him wide.
Last season I would have agreed, I think Macca has really come on a lot this season. Doesn’t look like a Paul McShane waiting to happen anymore. Big, solid, wins his challenges, actually has decent feet and can hit a pass. He has a future here at this level.
One out of two isn't bad... I bet Patrick Viera regrets letting that Ebiowei go out on loan.. Not ..He was dire. Not even a one trick pony. Typical City. Get some enthusiasm from the stands and they turn in a flat, awful performance, devoid of much gumption. That will have many casuals running for the hills and never to return until City are 6 points, top of the league.
