I thought things were too quiet and going too smoothly.....BOOM, they've done it again!!

Are our illustrious leaders capable of anything commercially sound and intelligent?!!

What does he thinks this change is going to do amongst fans? Anger mainly.
So why would any company want to associate themselves with a hate campaign......and pay for the privilage?
Why would any compnay want to go into any financial deal with these clowns?
Why would any company pay money to actually compete with the Sports Direct brand thats filled the stadium for next to nothing, when they would have to pay £10mil a season for the privilege?!
Why would any company decide to buy the rights to St James, sorry Sports Direct Arena (awful), now when they have been up for grabs for 2 years?...because St James is suddenly not in the sportsdirect.com@ part?!!! Is this how companies decide whether or not to sponsor a stadium?, by looking at what the name is now and deciding...our name sounds better dont you think!!!!!

    WHAT IS THIS??!!!!!?!!

    Its bull****!

Its the typical conclusion to EVERYTHING MA and DL come up with.

Its either totally INCOMPETENT and never going to happen. Or. Its a total LIE to cover up what they really want and thats simply to promote his OWN company.

What do you reckon this time? Incompetence or Lies?

What we all know is going to be the scenario come next season is NUFC will have SportsDirect sponsors and play their home games @ Sport Direct Arena (which we all know Sky Sports will jump all over with a HUGE smug smile mocking us as they say it every week) for a significant time to come!

    F*ck. Off.

Things still are going nice and smoothly, as far as I'm aware it doesn't affect our form or league position.

Calm the **** down it's only a name and i'm going to keep calling it SJP anyway.

it's the way football is going this has happened at a few clubs already and it will happen to a lot more in the next few years,i've said it loads so here we go again modern owners look at everything that will bring in revenue and tradition and sentiment just doesn't come into it.Am i the only one who saw this coming and isn't surprised or angry that it has happened.ranting and raving will change **** all i'm afraid bar the fact it'll put half decent companies from buying the naming rights thus leaving us with the hideous sports direct arena tag.

Its not the name change im upset about, I dont mind if a decent company came along and bought the naming rights. Take the ££ and laugh.

Its the way in which they try and do things. They have totally alienated the stadium by doing this and have put off any potential suitors. Its a total joke or a total lie.

Any company that thinks they want a piece of this will be of the same scheister nature as our two ronnies in charge. Not a good thing.

JUST DO THINGS PROPERLY! F*ck me sideways!

How do you alienate a stadium?

    Mike: You smell (at stadium)
Stadium: Well that's it. You can't come in anymore.

I think people can't be arsed with Ashley anymore, they've became accustomed to the **** he does, well i have anyways. Llambias has said we'll generate 10 million from the change, he also said that money will go to acquiring players, so if true, then i'll be less annoyed, but we will see what happens.

How long untill Ewood park is renamed to 'Venky's arena'?

By not making it very commercially viable to attach your name to it, so defeating the object this whole thing (apparently) is supposed to do.

St James name changes to SDA > Fans no like, say as much > company see this > dont want same kind of public backlash.

    Whereas

Company buy naming rights to St James Park stadium > Some fans wont like, some wont mind. Will still call it St James anyway, get used to idea. Move on.

the thing that gets me we should know by now whatever we do it makes no difference to ashley protest and the like will affect potential bidders. So summing it up protest and the like and we'll be stuck with the sports direct arena

To be fair I don't think that a firm that can afford to spend £80-£100 million over 10 years is really going to care if we liked the first version or not.

The sole reason to sponsor the ground and squad is to use it as an advertisment for a company/product to a global audience.

When you take into account that the potential global viewing figures for Premier League matches is in the region of 1.5 billion will a company truly care that 52,000 people didn't like the test version?

    Nope.

We are stuck with Mike Ashley.
We are stuck with Sports Direct Arena.
We are stuck with Sports Direct logo EVERYWHERE.
We are stuck with Sports Direct shirt sponsor
We are stuck with Alan Smith.

    Some things are unavoidable.

Sir John Hall told us this was reason Ashley bought club in 1st place and he's just milking PR for free. Do you think he's putting £10m a year aside to pay for this dross?

We have had a test version for 2 years. Has it worked? Nope. Do test versions work? Well seeing as we are the only stadium ever to have one I can recall, I would say no. But dont let the facts stand in the way of MA and DL. Power on regardless. If you lose £1million on Red....stick £3mil on! Come On!!
