You're free to say what you want, except not on this thread since it's not about Istanbul or Munich (as I've already stated). I wasn't discounting anything due to it being 'before my time', just saying that it wasn't a well-known football fact to me. But please do provide that evidence.

The argument here seems to be that each time you try take the moral high ground calling us horrible, then get defensive when I argue you're just as if not more horrible. You then try and take the moral high ground by claiming I implied we aren't horrible, when I did no such thing. Just because Munich was earlier than Istanbul, doesn't mean your lot aren't a set of cretins for abusing us about it. I also find that most Leeds fans don't agree with Munich related abuse and abstain from joining in, whereas the majority of your fans have this twisted view that Istanbul was "our fault" and "we deserved it".

You have no moral high ground, so stop trying to take it.

I have not once taken any moral high ground, I simply pointed out how ludicrous it is to say any Instanbul banner is 'unprovoked' and that I can trump your Darren Ferguson with my Lee Chapman. It is not me who decided to use a long since ex players marital strife as some stick to beat our club with. One of YOUR lads did that.

 

The Istanbul banner was a premeditated attack. The previous encounter at old trafford saw no Munich related abuse. As such it was unprovoked. The Turkish reds bus was just as bad.

 

I can't be arsed to continue with this over and over. You know my opinion, decades of Munich chants was, rightly or wrongly, the provokation.

By me, no you couldn't.

 

The articles gave a scewed view saying Munich Victims get 52k whilst Cantona gets 90k, as if he was paid to do it. He wasn't, he got his expenses given back.

The whole thing was a sorry sham and would have probably have been better served by not happening and a quiet donation given to each family but that's the way of the world, it all has to be done in public in spectacular technicolour. I don't blame Cantona, I blame the club for years of negelecting the Munich victims to be honest.

The only two papers that sensationalised Cantona's role are the Mirror and Mail and that's enough for me to take it with a pinch of salt.
